Raph Clarke Up Forward
Anyone know why Raphael Carke has not (to my knowledge) been tried up forward?
"Because he is hopeless" would not be a helpful answer.
I reckon he could be a decent option in a forward line currently lacking. He has height, a decent mark, reasonable kick and whilst he is not quick he could put on some better defensive pressure when trying to keep the ball in the forward 50 than some of the guys we have in there now.
Even if it was just tried in the VFL to see how he went?

Sounds like most weeks anywayplugger66 wrote:Yep that would be great. Lets have no forwards but 2 very average wingmen.bigcarl wrote:Whack him on the wing with Riewoldt on the other.
We've got about 30 half back flankers.
The list changes for 2025 have begun, always an interesting time for an avid supporter.

How it a risk playing Rooy and Clarke on the wing. It is just plain stupid. I told you last week they would play Rooy deeper and Lynch forward. Seemed to work until the players went into their shell.bigcarl wrote:Show some daring, Plugga. Take a few risksplugger66 wrote:Yep that would be great. Riewoldt is best when everyone else pisses off out of the forward line and we are swift with ball movement on the counter.plugger66 wrote:Yep that would be great. Lets have no forwards but 2 very average wingmen.bigcarl wrote:Whack him on the wing with Riewoldt on the other.

From there he leads up to just forward of center, marks it and wheels around to whoever is running back or whoever leads across the ground.
