Retire
1. Gardiner
2. Baker
3. Blake
4. Koschitzke
Trade for a pick in the top 10
1. Gilbert
De-List
1. Peake
2. McQualter
3. Polo
4. Gamble
5. Geary
Elevate
1. Walsh
For starters, no ones going to give a top ten pick for Gilbert.
Secondly, Peake is in fantastic form, while Geary hasn't had a shot this year, getting injured early in both the Nab cup and regular season.
Thirdly, both Kosi and Blake are deserving of a spot on the list. While pushing Baker and Gardi may be fine, these two should not retire unless they request it.
IMO:
Retire:
Gardiner
Bakes
Delist:
McQualter
Cahill
Heyne
Polo
Gamble
Promote:
Walsh
Archer
Rookie Delist:
Eddy
Gaertner
That gives us 5 picks in the national draft, and 4 in the rookie draft, one of which will be used on Heyne as a lifeline/pay out contract.

I thought Gardiner was going to play next year, I hope he does. Other than that its seems to be perfect.GrumpyOne wrote:Reckon you're spot on the money there.goddardisgod wrote: IMO:

I'd give Cahill to the end of the season to prove his worthgoddardisgod wrote:Retire:

I'd also give Jones until the end of the season to give us a reason not to cut him
Are you serious about Jones. If he goes then we are getting rid of about 15 others. Skills are poor but gives us value elsewhere. Certainly more than many other players and I arent his biggest fan. Not by a long shot.skeptic wrote:I'd give Cahill to the end of the season to prove his worthgoddardisgod wrote:Retire:

Cahill has had several seasons to prove that.skeptic wrote:

We still need Jones for fast tagging roles.

keep them all you reckon...who cares if we're less than competitive....who cares where we finish....show the faithTo the top wrote:Cahill is 20 years of age, 192cm and 87kg with forward KPP potential.
Who are you going to replace him with in a compromised draft?
If Gardiner feels he can contribute he will go on - and he will be requested to go on.
Will we pick up a player in the SSP window

maybe we should see if we can trade the world's greatest tagger for Judd.
Lets offer him to 16 other teams and c who would take him
elite teams have good taggers... no one like Jones

I think guys like Eddy, Cahill, Heyne would be feeling pretty nervous. I wouldn't be surprised if we offer an early second round pick for Stanley, he seems to have lost favour from Lyon. It is going to be a hard year to work out who to drop from the list -we have got promising and established not much in between and it will be interesting to see who goes.
