No offense but what does Ross say to the players at half time
"Ok boys we have given the supporters their moneys worth, now choke the life out of the game"

Coming off the bye, against the form team in the competition who are desperate to win, and who have been scoring heavily are held to 70 points.
They were spent and wanted to close the gamwe down.
One goal, even though the umpires tried to get North over the line, whould say they achieved what they wanted.
A good win.
First quarter EVER a scoreless qtr under lyon.
Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Nothing wrong with saying to the boys
"ok, keep up the pressure, keep the ball down their defensive end, damage them on the scoreboard non stop"
I would rather run out of legs with a 50 point lead then have the other team anywhere near us in the last 5 minutes.
After all, I am sure I am not the only one who thinks we could use a percentage booster where we can get it.

It did make my blood pressure go up.
We opened the door for them, they did choke in front of goal as well, which helped us.
Also when we did win the ball, we just seem to bomb it into the middle to let them reload.
fisher, Monty, gwilt, McEvoy seemed to be everywhere in that 4th quarter. it did seem like they were the only ones out there as well :/

I don't wish to cause offence but I'm not sure you know what you're saying there.
If the whole team ran out of legs in the last quarter, a fifty point deficit could be overcome.
In honour of those who went before, in the dark and desperate years.

With hindsight probably Schneider.St DAC wrote:Who should he have subbed out at that time then?
But the coaches would have read the physical signs and married that up with match ups, so Lynch it was.
Playing forward is farkin' exhausting these days...
Remember when it was just stand around and lead every now and then?
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

And if the senior, match hardened guys were struggling to see out the game it would have been very hard for someone like Lynch, who has missed games recently through injury and a Sandy bye.Thinline wrote:With hindsight probably Schneider.St DAC wrote:Who should he have subbed out at that time then?

Doubt very much he was subbed off because Ross didn't like what he was seeing.
