We have every opportunity to win - in fact, it's ours to lose. :!:

Sunday will be a real-world indicator of where we sit. With Kosi and Blake out, it will be very interesting to see how the selectors view things.
Let's hope that they have their "forward looking" hats on.

That just means we won the coin toss for farvorstism, we don't deserve to be the favorites any more than North

Who have North beaten over the last 4 weeks, Gold Coast and Port aren't exactly big scalps.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

Undeserved favourtism imo.

We go into the match as the hunter ... after the scalp of a better-performed team that is higher on the ladder.

It's North's to lose.

You're right.

I predict we get towelled by 8, or do the same plus more to them.

For some reason, this is where it's at.

9 goals will win it.

We simply don't have the cattle to match them in the air or in space. Need to bring it in close and hope we fall over the line in front IMO.

Dire slog.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Not usually pessimistic, but can see us losing this.

Going on the teams we have beaten, Melbourne especially, and then looking at their form, bar the Queens Birthday game, I think we are not doing too badly. The next few weeks will show if we are serious or not at having another shot at the finals, all winnable games the next few.

Our skills let us down against Geelong, which was very disappointing. If we can improve there we are a real chance. Let’s hope the break has done the players good and they are totally focused.

9 goals eh?

Much preferred it when there were heaps of goals scored and you could go to the dunny without worrying about missing one :(

It can't be that hard surely?

As I said elsewhere, Drew Petrie is second only to Jack Riewoldt, in how many times their respective sides look for them as a target this year.

Just have someone loose playing in front of him gobbling up all the delivery, denying him both the mark, and the crashing of the pack.

The Dish took a stack of contested marks last week, so he loves a pack. Not sure who was on him, Port's tall defenders range from very good to lame at the moment.

Told ya so :P

Think Gerard mentioned they had already gone to him 14 times in the third.
