Youth policy finished?
Ross has said that he will not play the kids anymore, unfortinatly.
I thought they would try one of the Key position like johnson,Walsh.
Both have been playing well for sandy,or Archer, lynch, Stanley( injured hammy) but that now will have to wait till next season.
I really feel that it will styfle our development as a team especially when other clubs like Geelong,Collingwood,Hawthorn and even Carlton have progressed well with young talls.
We seem on intent to play the older more mature players which is good for now and we are not in the top 4.
Its time to relode get a few games in the young guys see who can play and make a definate tilt for the remainder of this seasaon and for 2012.
Iam concerned that with out playing these guys we will fall behind the pack and be down in the wilderness for a while. We still have a great core of players to take us to the premership lets use them with youth.
And give them more then 2/4 games to play we carnt find much out in that time.

This is a joke isn't it?saint58 wrote:Herald sun 2 saturdays ago!dragit wrote:I haven't read that, where did he say that he will not play the kids anymore?
Then he said during that week that he will go and by a Key position forward as nowone has shown enough.
Surely nobody can take this seriously.
The article, IIRC, was an opinion by the journalist and a 'sexy headline' by the sub-editor.
It did not quote Lyon on this at all.
And this fact has been pointed out to this particular poster on every occasion he's raised this issue.
Yet, the penny hasn't dropped.
So I'm wondering if we have another poster just trying to cause mischief?

He didn't pick kids for the Geelong game. The HS ran with the headline that the youth policy was over. It was the HS's words not Lyons.
And potentially buying a forward to help Roo is a totally separate issue. No one could say the Pies don't have a youth policy yet it hasn't stopped them buying Jolly, Ball and Krakouer!

.
Either come up with some facts...like actual proper quotes from Ross, or a radio interview........or desist.
....or perhaps go and troll on Bigfooty instead.

You've trotted this nonsense out at least 4 times already.
Ross Lyon never said it.
No matter how many times you post it, it will still be false/wrong.
Finally someone listened.
Lance or James??
