Hi all, new member...After old saints games
Hi all, just registered on here, been trying for well over 6+ months.
Glad i could finally join. As you can probably tell, my favourite saint was Stephen Powell, along with Frankie and Andrew Thompson.
Trying to collect saints matches from the 2004-06 era, as all my games were accicdentally thrown out
so if anyone has any games from that era, please let me know and we can sort something out.
Thank you, look forward to posting on here.
Cheers

Thank you all for welcoming me onboard.dragit wrote:Welcome Stephen…
Are you looking for videos of the matches?
There was a 10-disc DVD set of our first 10 wins in 2004

Yes i am looking for matches.
I have most of the games from the 2004 winning streak.
Mainly games from 05-06 i want, aswell as the saints brisbane game from 2003.

Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

I used to love Powell...'The General" we called him and later "The Secretary of State" (which didn't quite roll off the tongue as well!)Stephen_Powell wrote:Hi all, just registered on here, been trying for well over 6+ months.

In honour of those who went before, in the dark and desperate years.
Name a Game has a special on now for individual match DVD's but still quite costly if you wanna buy most matches.

me too. i kept getting a message that i could not register at this time, or words to that effect. i thought it was an anti-troll device where you could only register before the start of the season or something. and then one day it worked.Jacks Back wrote:I had the same problem. Tried to register for ages and just kept getting an error message and didn't know any email address, etc, to contact someone. I figured maybe you guys weren't taking any more members or something.

I registered as "Lifes a Brees" (oh you and your New Orleans Saints puns) in January, but didn't get a confirmation e-mail.
Then I appeared on the Membership list but still unconfirmed!
Oh well, I'm here now with a different name! Persistence wears down resistance (sounds like a membership slogan!)

I really feel for the new genuine members who have come on board at a time when there appears to be a plethora of Magpie trolls also joining us.
As always the benefit of the doubt must be extended.
In any event, trolls will quickly show their true colours, even if they are unable to display any teeth.

I don't know if it could be any worse than being on the wrong side of my Dad whenever I tried to tell him things would one day get better for the New Orleans Saints...GrumpyOne wrote:If you thought just barracking for the Saints was tough, wait until you get on the wrong side of one of our resident flame-throwers on this forum!
That was a full on war trying to get him to cheer up!

I tried to register in January because I had a lot of angst and anger about a lot of things to get out! I genuinely didn't know you were being trolled...Dr Spaceman wrote:I really feel for the new genuine members who have come on board at a time when there appears to be a plethora of Magpie trolls also joining us.
