Mark Maclure on AFL 360

He kept tipping Saints would come good, and is probably dirty that they didn't...

Nothing about what he says bothers me, I am though, curious what makes him think Ross has lost the players?

The players appear to like Ross, many of them have said as much.

If he is saying the staff don't like him, that is different, and the lines shouldn't be blurred.

Didn't watch it tonight, I saw AFL 360 once, and that was enough

Maclure is a major try-hard - and on the rare times I've heard him on radio, he's a very negative 'special comments man' (as many of them are)

That show could do without Maclure and King. I could take 2 hours of Gerard Whateley, and at least Robbo is well-researched, doesn't talk rubbish, and tells it as he sees it. He's pretty old-school Robbo.

Whateley is Australia's pre-eminent sports broadcaster.

That's exactly the impression I had from the only time I watched it - Maclure and King added zero - other than trying to be controversial and some mock humour.

The way it's promoted as 'Whateley the voice of reason...' (in between 2 try-hards)

Yep could easily listen to Whateley and Robinson for the hour without the other 2.

I was actually told that once by John Barker.


Granted, it was after he'd left the club. But he said he's pretty much impossible to work with.

I have spoken to another ex assistant exited by Lyon who insists he is THE best coach bar none in the comp. Also stressed that many "lazy" assistants didnt like that Ross drove them hard.

I heard indirectlly from one of the new ones that his is great as well.

I remember early on he seemed against saints But during NAB he firmly believed we could go again this year

AFL 360 is possibly the worst football program on TV - the fact they had to bring in MM and King to give it some legs is simply laughable!

The amount of awkward silences on this show leaves me in hysterics... there is no rapport between these guys... I genuinely feel sorry for Gerard who otherwise seems like a nice bloke

Is this the same man that believed that several of our players should have been suspended for 'kimmygate' in the first episode of AFL 360 this year because of their 'supposed' violation of the AFL code of conduct against women? Haven't watched another episode this year after that and I certainly won't be watching this one on replay. He is a fool. End of story. Most of the footy media is. Not many whom I listen to that I respect so I tend to not watch a lot of the footy shows this year.

Waldron was the team manager/chairman under Watson. And Blight had Grant Thomas help him out!!! Helped him right out.....

I went to Moorabbin for lunch one Thursday afternoon and sat on the table next to Watson's four man team selection meeting taking place in the restaurant.

I have never seen so many Garlic Prawns consumed in my life. Plate after plate delivered to the table. And most of the conversation was about the prawns on the table rather than the prawns on the list.

I realised that day why Justin Plapp played one out in the forward 50 and why the football club was broke.
