The other thing he did in 2009 which people conveniently forget was kick 48 goals - what a dud hey?plugger66 wrote:I have never seen Kosi on the wing when he has played forward. If in Kosi's case that was pulling a tall defender out to the wing so Rooey could work in space that was his job and did it with out complaint. So too Mini, did his job on the 50 tackling and running with the defensive link to effect turn overs, did it with great effect in 09 and once the opposition worked it out they would shepherd him or play an extra mid back for the link.

Also, people should not relate their desire to not have Mini in the seniors with a lack of form at Sandy. He normally plays well at VFL level, which is not what the OP suggests.gringo wrote:Kosi and Mc Qualter were both in the team because they played roles. Welcome to the Saint-Asylum, Nick.
For the record, when was Rhys' last game?
I seem to recall seeing him late last year against North Melbourne or the Dees. He looked okay back then too.
Yet to watch him this year, as I haven't had the chance to watch any Sandy matches.

That game was very disappointing. It certainly wasn't a night for key forwards, but be put in no effort at all. Kosi needed to be subbed off, he was really underdone. But he still offered more than Rhys. I think Ross has lost faith in him, because he was certainly happy last year.dragit wrote:Round 5 V BrisbaneSainternist wrote:Welcome to the Saint-Asylum, Nick.

Agreed that we need another forward in the team. I guess that's why Kosi came in but now he's suspended. With Rooey out of form and Kosi suspended I reckon Ross will bring in another forward. Won't be Stanley though because he's not cutting it at reserve level let alone AFL level. Walsh or Johnson will likely come in me thinks.

I think Johnson will probably get a go. He has been very good at Sandy and must be due to get another game. I have huge hopes that Johnson will take a forward spot if he gets his confidence up. Hopefully he gets a couple of games to prove himself and no concussion. Otherwise I would like to see Archer get a go -at least he could pluck a few marks or bring the ball down and crash himself into the ruck.
