Turnover KINGS...
Opposition plan when playing the SAINTS.
When the SAINTS win the ball just flood back and wait as they will kick it straight back to you.
If SAINTS are going forward just stand in front of KOSI & ROO and wait for ball to come down. Then run ball out with handball on the burst.
Must be the easiest team to set up for in 2011 !

To be honest.. the pressure at the ball user that's created by every team now is unbelievable... we've always had iffy skilled players.. we were able to mask it in the last two years playing Lyon's style..
1. flood opposition's forward line, play sam fisher/gilbert as the free man. making it hard to score. that's why riewoldt is always 1 against 3. and our backmen chalk up most marks.
2. set up zone/press and use pressure to create turnover goals.. these are the easiest goals to kick.. as the other team will be out of position. hence battlers like mini and eddy were getting a game... their role is forcing turnovers..
3. play slow tempo football.. control the ball by play safe... kicking it sideways/backwards.. and give the ball to goddard, dal santo, montagna and hays when possible..
4. rely on the brilliance of milne, schneider and roo to kick a winning score (6-12 goals)
In 2011... due to injury.. more opposition pressure/zone, we're forced to play on, carry the ball.. in order to beat the zone.. we continue to play extra men behind the ball (because our defence 1 on 1 is not great).. and now less skilled players are found out.. poor skills due to exhaustion... (from pressure, running back to support backline, from playing on)..
The only way is to slowly phase out those less skilled players.. it's not likely we've got young skillful midfielders in the 2s ready to go.. (apart from ledger a 1st year player.. and smith).. we're in for a long haul i think..
