Saints article in Herald Sun today
There was an article in todays Herald Sun entitled "Saints bank on Zebras" by Sam Landsberger which said;
St Kilda coach Ross Lyon has signalled his intention to charge into the finals by scrapping a short-lived youth policy and recalling several veterans from VFL affiliate Sandringham.
In the past fortnight, the Saints have selected Raphael Clarke, Jason Gram, Ryan Gamble, Leigh Montagna and Jason Blake.
Only Montagna has been spared VFL duties this year, while 2011 debutants Arryn Siposs, Nick Winmar, Tom Simpkin and Tom Ledger have been sent back to the VFL.
Jamie Cripps (calf), Tom Lynch and Alistair Smith also have made brief AFL appearances this year.
With the Zebras having a bye, the young crop of Saints will be given a rest this weekend.
Is RL really scrapping the youth policy or is this just a beat up?

Were was the source from the club or just a journalist making it up (gee that would never happen with the saints ha)bigcarl wrote:The facts are right. The journalist's interpretation may or may not be.
Perhaps the fact that it is Geelong has caused our selectors to play safe and go for the tried and true.
If we win it could set us back years
It will but they are thinking about now and not next season or the one after we will not win it this season but with a bit of youth we might next season when they have 20/30 games under there belts.
