Look I don't for one second question BJ's integrity, loyalty and character, but all I'm saying is that in this day and age it's understandable for a bloke like BJ to take an offer from GWS if they do indeed make him "an offer he can't refuse," something that we, with Riewoldt an co. on our list, simply could not afford to match. If this happens, then, hopefully, if justice is done, we will be recompensated with adequate draft picks and such.

Tell you what, i've had a good laugh at the expense of all the Geelong supporters i've known over the last 12 months. I'd hate for that to come back.hungry for a premiership wrote:Look I don't for one second question BJ's integrity, loyalty and character, but all I'm saying is that in this day and age it's understandable for a bloke like BJ to take an offer from GWS if they do indeed make him "an offer he can't refuse," something that we, with Riewoldt an co. on our list, simply could not afford to match. In saying though, it doesn't seem to unrealistic for him to leave. Unless we make some MAJOR inroads, if we're not going to be a premiership contender for a while, theirs nothing really keeping him here is their?

Is this the same Luke Ball who is leading the charge for a massive pay rise for players but will be on about the same money as a rookie next year if the players don't get a significant pay rise. Many different conclusions can be drawn !!hungry for a premiership wrote:last tear was the first time I heard of it.Just out of interest, does anyone know how long has Luke Ball been the AFLPA vice-president?
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

What are the chances that GWS are going to make such a big offer to him anyway? If I was GWS, BJ is not the type of player I would be offering that to IMO.hungry for a premiership wrote:Jim: "If GWS came and offered you a 1.5 million dollar contract for five years would you take it?
BJ: "It would certainly be very hard to refuse."

Seriously, how is any player supposed to respond to that sort of question?hungry for a premiership wrote:Jim: "If GWS came and offered you a 1.5 million dollar contract for five years would you take it?
BJ: "It would certainly be very hard to refuse."
Jim: "If GWS came and offered you a 1.5 million dollar contract for five years would you take it?
BJ: "No I would stay at the Saints."
Jim: "OK, if GWS came and offered you a 2.0 million dollar contract for five years would you take it?
BJ: "No I would stay at the Saints."
Jim: "OK, if GWS came and offered you a 2.5 million dollar contract for five years would you take it?
BJ: "No I would stay at the Saints."
Really, c'mon!
If BJ simply said that sort of stuff no one would believe him anyway.
I honestly think he wants to stay but at the end of the day the terms offered may simply be too good to knock back.
