We have big marking Players!

Post: # 1088907Post saint58 »

Most of our big players are defenders so we need to start playing some up forward NOW to help rooy out.

Walsh would be good but they wont play him up forward for sandy. He has the body strength, and pace.He needs the experience but he carnt get that playing for Sandy.

Then there is Archer and Stanley,Archer should be persiterd with he has played only 2 games and is definatly a prospect but you need to play these guys not for 1,2 games but more give him opportunitys.Archer is big and strong and would be a great asset with time playing with a experienced forward.

Stanley has gone off the boil a bit but still stick with him he is very hard to match up on because of his height and speed.

What all these guys need is game time in the seniors we have 10 games left its now or never if they dont play now we can kiss next season good by.
ITs no point saying half way through next season or we should have played a few young talls last season to get some experience we need to do it now be smart with our team selection.

You know what, I can't work out why on earth not.

Who sees a spot on a list for the taking, not just any role either, a KPP in a very good side.

.....and doesn't want it?

The opportunity is here and now.

Time for one of them to really put their hand up tomorrow.

Ross has shown that he will reward good performances at Sandy this year.

Over to you boys

Sippos and Johnson look most likely. Come down to Sandy and see for yourselves tomorrow.

I didn't think Siposs was that tall?

18 year old still growing listed at 188cm last year, probably 192cm now.

Isn't Riewoldt 193? Because Sippos looks more than 1cm shorter than him.

Have you seen them standing side by side? I have and there's not much in it.

Granted he is growing but do you think he will reach the size required for a FF?

What size is that exactly?

Well i haven't seen many 85kg full forwards since John Coleman and I think it'd be a bit unfair to compare Sippos to him.

Hope he kicks a few tomorrow and puts pressure on for re-inclusion. I hope he's given the opportunity to play his natural role as a forward down there because we sure as hell need one.

Any of the potential kids will, unfortunately, face a tough assignment if they're picked to play against the Cats.

And of course Ross would know this. So regardless of how any of them go tomorrow they may have to wait a tad longer to get their chance.

But we shall see.
