Ross was cross

Post: # 1088384Post perfectionist »

I don't think I have seen him more "angry" or critical after a game, especially a win. He was even more so in his TV interview with Timmy. Then again, if we couldn't beat that Dogs team last night - three A grade players only - then our prospects would be pretty bad.

Dogs are in a similar place to us.

They've made a tonne of prelims over the past decade never making it to a grand final.

They are a good team with confidence destroyed missing their gun midfielder and forward.

If cooney had played it might have been a different out come.

Cooney is comparable to hayes, maybe marginally better.

We were also missing monty but then we've lost a few games regardless.

Cooney better than Hayes?

Ridiculous assertion.

Len's done the biz for a decade. Cooney's had one good year that, arguably, wasn't a patch on that of the bloke who came third on account of said bloke having a bloke called Selwood in his team.

Hayes then daylight.

If I was biased I'd say Hayes then daylight, twilight, AND moonlight.

On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Cooney hasn't been at his best for 2-3 years now in my opinion, doesn't have a huge impact anymore. Hayes is much better.

I must have watched a different interview of Lyon by Watson.

He didn't appear 'angry' at all - more philosophical is the term that springs to mind for me.

I thought they were two different people.

Is this some superman sort of thing?

Hayes is our best player. And he is a lot better than Cooney!

If Hayes and Montagna had played, it may have been a different outcome.

Massive call. Hayes is way better than Cooney, would like to see Cooney's contested poss compared with Hayes.

On topic, I only read one article, and Lyon didn't seem too fired up, that's just his manner...

On an unrelated note, you must have been happy Dan Warna with Katich's axing this week.

Ross may have been cross, but after that free kick advantage ruling, Cross was very cross indeed

Hayes and Cooney have different skill sets, but there is no doubting Hayes will win you more games of football than Cooney.

Even though RL says he's not thrilled with the win, he is pretty upbeat and seems satisfied with the four points.

Anyone who taped it have a look how red RL's hand was when interviewed by Watson, my guess smashed against a white board inthe post game meeting or on a table during the game

I listened to the audio, didn't sound cross at all.

Just pointing out, like he has every week, that there is room for much improvement.

Cross? As in Daniel?

Maybe thats why Daniel made that awful 'advantage' play on call.

Cooney is more like Goddard than Hayes. In fact, I'd say he was the most similar player to Goddard in the league.
