Update on Montagna?- Edit: Confirmed Out

Post: # 1086837Post Sam23 »

How is he? Likely to play this week?

I didn't think Ross sounded too confident in his presser and certainly Joey wasn't running around well.

Anyone heard anything?

Leigh Montagna Knee "He pulled up pretty well. The fact that he got through the game was positive. He'll be accessed at training." (sic)

It was a hell of a hit. I was blown away he made it back out onto the field later in the game. You'd think he'd miss this week...but then that's Joey. He wouldn't want to.

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

Through which aperture?

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. We can't take a trick this year can we... but 9 debuts that is insane, especially considerint that doesn't include Polo and Gamble who debuted for the club or Tom Lynch who had only played one game previously.

If it was a serious injury surely they would've had scans by now and we would have heard some news about it. More likely that Joey is just a bit sore and stiff in the knee. Well thats what I'm hoping anyway.

i wonder about our coaching /med staff sometimes. already had kosi playing concussed this year, took too big a risk with dempster. now joey made to soldier on when obviously injured.

agree.

Watching the game on Saturday night I thought it was idiotic, especially late in the third when the game was shot.

Nothing to gain by leaving him out there, apart from risking further injury.
