Is Zac trade bait?

Post: # 1086693Post SaintPav »

Given his versatility he has to be worth an early second round pick. I think he even rucked for a while in a game earlier this season.

So why get rid of him if he's so versatile?

Makes no sense.

Trying to think outside the square. We need to give up some value if we are going to get anything in return.

I have not seen much evidence of this versatility. What positions has he started in at St.Kilda other than as a tall defender?

May get a late first rounder or an early second rounder.

We wouldn't get a first round pick for him.

I think maybe GC or GWS might show some interest given his leadership with young players.

Now don't you go on worrying about that bratty

People keep saying players are overrated so let's just go with none of them

Cant understand given his supposed versatality, why we would trade him.

So we picked him up as a rookie from a VFL team and now he's worth a first round pick?

Gee there's some silly stuff posted on this forum.

I said late first round but if he has 3 or 4 BOG's in the next few games he may even go as an early first round. An ideal type looking for a really strong defender.

Until any other of our young tall defenders prove that they can compete at the top level, I don't think we should be trading our only proven key position back.

would need a string of them to even go second round - but will never get them. seriously overrated. doubt anyone would want him as anything more than a last pick nothing to lose gamble.

He's played forward. He should have also played 2nd ruck on Saturday.

IMO, you're trading sideways offloading Zac for a 2nd round pick, don't do it.

Maybe we could straight swap him with Brian Lake if he's as versatile as what I read on here.

No promises from Lakes manager that he'll be at Doggies next season.

Cos there's SO many red hot full backs going around...

HEAPS, there are. Dime a friggin' dozen.

I will laugh heartily at you all when, fuller of body, more ruthless of mind, he plays his 200th game for St Kilda.

Hey, don't laugh at me...I've got no doubt he's got a long career at St Kilda ahead of him, and the players we'll be offloading at season's end, won't be worth trading. To be fair to Pav though, you can't use Steven Baker as trade bait, for the sake of this hypothetical scenario.

There is one exception though, I think we'll get something for Gram.

It's up to us the supporters to dictate their market value.

We need to all ring SEN and feign shock and dismay that they are not in the team, remind everyone how good they were in such and such a match, lament the fact they may end up somewhere else at seasons end and St Kilda will be so very sorry.

It won't work, opposition clubs will read our forum and discover none of our team is worth a cracker. :P
