As others have alluded to, Blake is a huge out.
If we don't go for a Kosi or a Stanley, or even an Archer, who can ruck if something was to happen to McEvoy?
Sure there may be a few who can pinch hit, but does anyone spring to mind that could ruck for 3 quarters in an emergency?
Blake gives you that option of having a dependable back up ruck man without having to dedicate one of the 22 spots on the team to a tall, but perhaps limited, player.
Will be interesting to see what they come up with in less than 3 hours time.

When the team is announced in a little under an hour there's going to be surge of commentary from passionate Saintsational posters.
Based on comments thus far some posters will spew if certain older players are named, while others will display their disgust if certain young kids miss out.
It's a tough gig this team selection caper and I for one am glad that Ross and the selectors are the ones doing it.
I have no doubt they'll pick a team with one eye on the future, but with the main focus being on fielding a side that gives us the best chance to win this week.
And that's all I can ask from them.
So it's most unlikely you'll get any negatives comments from the Doc regardless of the identities of those 22 players.

As somebody recently alluded to on here recently, selection is one thing really worth looking forward to at the moment. Go the selectors!Dr Spaceman wrote:As others have alluded to, Blake is a huge out.

A while ago now, but Luke Ball(OP) and Kosi(back?) played thru injuries, which, in hindsight, was not the right option.
