Trade idea
Interesting thought, looking towards 2012
Trade with the bombers, straight swap
dal santo for ryder.
Saints get a mobile ruckman who is struggling as the third ruck and would love more game time. Bombers get a gun midfielder who is in his prime.
Win/win and since we are playing dal on the half back line currently we might be able to replace him.

Yep like we are so blessed with classy mids... No point winning tap outs when you haven't got players at their feet, just ask FreoSolar wrote:Interesting thought, looking towards 2012

If we are struggling so much with midfielders then why are two of our best mids in dal and BJ playing in the backline ongoing right now.BringBackMadDog wrote:Yep like we are so blessed with classy mids... Just putting the thought out there. BTW you can trade signed players if they consent.

I've got a much better idea. Let's plant a stooge at Collingwood to white ant Daisy Thomas and tell him that he is not wanted there. Then we have a chat with his manger and offer him an 'inducement'. Then we come along and offer him salvation at our kind and benevolent club. We might have to slip him a couple of bucks to make the switch. At least he is almost good enough to wear the red, white and black and I reckon he would get along OK with BJ.

I wouldnt trade Dal. I just hope we can get a mobile ruckman some other way. You cant have too many good midfielders.
Maybe we can get that Gaertner bloke back.

I am surprised that no one wants to swap Kosi, Clarke and eddy for Chris Judd this week. Seriously though, Ryder isn't the sort of ruck I feel we need. Bellchambers would be a better fit, Ryder is mercurial but I would prefer a high percentage of tap outs to advantage every week. Essendon will want one of Hille, Bellchambers or Ryder to trade at the end of the year you would think. Can't have three rucks every week. Dal santo is not the kind of player that is easy to replace. I don't really like to bolster the enemy either, look at Ball.
One of Bellchambers, Ryder and Hille will want to leave at the end of the year. Probably whichever one misses out on finals.dragit wrote:+1 - there's no way they would consider it…meher baba wrote:Can I ask the obvious sane question in an insane world: why on earth would the Bombers want to trade Ryder?

..dal has been our best players this year...along with chips.....plays consistently well...and is our play maker....ryder plays one good game in 5......much prefer to hang onto dal and try for mitchell white from the brians...he wants to come home...
.everybody still loves lenny....and we always will
