Pick a Gameplan.
Either a forward press which worked wonderfully in the first quarter or man on man or play on at all costs. A mix and match just doesn't work. You can change from one to the other during a quarter as long as everyone is on the same page but when you have half a dozen going one way and the rest the other well we all saw the result today.

No gameplan is going to work when:
* players drop sitters
* players do not pressure enough
* when players take stupid options all the time (I mean what is with mark ball..then handball to a team mate directly behind you who then has nowhere to go to and is under the pump...so then normally just kicks backwards....or BJ kicking in 15 from FB to Baker who cannot dispose of the ball and so botches it and goal to Hawthorn).
* too many of our better players are dreadful at present. ie BJ.
First quarter players played with good skill...and looked liked they wanted the ball. Confidence was up.
But then they went missing..
So gameplan is not really the problem. Poor efforts, lack of effort, poor form and mentally shot players is.

*inability after half time to win the ball out of a stoppage. It starts and ends there IMO.
