This is the same player who was meant to replace Ball and now the player meant to replace Hayes.
Not even in the same league.
If he was the best of the rest tonight then this only proves how badly we are traveling at the moment.
Hope he improves over the next season or so, but really. don't get too excited.
Like Luke Ball, he is too slow, kicks like s*** and is questionable when we don't have the ball.
Looks like you're the only one who thinks that.

Seriously not sure how you can even say that. What more do you want him to do?

17 contested possessions is exactly what we need. He's not a outside slick player like a Dal, he's your in and under engine.

He tackles hard (his real assert) and always puts his head over the ball, always, and I love the way he goes about it.

How many goals did he set up from a handball out in our forward line? I saw a few tonight along with the same last week.

He kicking is quite good imo (he can do the spear like bullet passes) and can kick further than Ball. Imo he looks equal if not faster than Luke Ball as well.

Every time Ball had a shot from the 40m mark, you knew he couldn't make the distance.

All in all, keep up the good work Armo. Your a gun and we need you.

I thought Armo was fantastic tonight - the only shining light in a very dark evening.

Congratulations to the young fella - maybe we are starting to seeing the making of a footballer, and a hard one at that.

Please...let's win a Premiership before GEELONG!!!! (O.k., so we've missed that opportunity...maybe let's win the next one before Geelong????)

Well done Armo, best game this season. I like the way he gets in and puts his head on the line, when we contested like Dave, we got free kicks, he makes his own luck. He looks ready to take the game on. Ball does it at the Pies and it works for them too.

Better kick than Ball, better overhead than Ball, as courageous as Ball, $300k cheaper than Ball, smaller ego than Ball and clearly more patient than Ball...will he be more loyal than Ball? I bloody hope so.

Nobody was selected ahead of him, his injury impacted his selection.

I watched him closely at training ahead of the GF, his knee was still heavily strapped, and he had missed so much footy.

I agree he would of been the obvious choice if fit and firing.

My prediction several years ago after hear him in radio interview, he would one day be a vice captain or captain if the opportunity present itself and maybe it could happen.

Armo's best game that I can remember.

Was playing a lone hand in the insipid first half.

Better now his value's gone up and he's deemed necessary.

Surely his value going up gives him the power in any negotiations. Great incentive for him to play well this year and attract offers.

Reckon he'll stay. Reckon we'll ensure that. He's a must have on current form, and especially if he maintains it right through the year. And we'll free cap space you'd think with some selective departures if things continue as is.

Who it their right mind would go to GWS for four years plus of floggings in a s*** part of the world? Only the most brazen mercenary. He doesn't strike me as the type.

Brisbane may be a threat, I suppose, simply because they'll have a few sheckles to spend (as I understand). Other than that most clubs seem fairly content to develop their own drafted midfield stocks don't they?

This one's right up there with your 'playing ability' for sheer head shaking.

Not only do you want to 'strip' Roo of the captaincy, you cannot even find a place in a 5 man leadership group for him?

Nor Joey?
Nor Lenny?

Sam Fisher is older than Rooey.

And Armo is beginning to live upto to his 1st round draft pick status.

He's almost been the highlight of the year for me.
