Mark Blake would be ideal. Fantastic tap ruckman.

The way things are going you need to have a ruckman who has half decent skills around the ground too.

Mark Blake - Not a chance in hell.
Will Minson - Crap around the ground, does OK when he goes forward.

Stick with Macca, another year or 2 and he will develop into a great ruckman. He is still young afterall.

I think I agree however if we are going to be any chance in 2012 we need a backup for the big Mac.

Tom Bellchambers is the 3rd banana at Essendon. How much would he cost? Can we fit him in under our cap? Do we really need another ruckman? These plus Many other questions for our List Manager and recruiting people !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Eastern is correct. Bellchambers should be the target.

Todd Goldstein in a draft pick swap as he is a good tap ruckman and handy forward

Cam Wood for nothing in a luke ball payback and selected with our first draft pick

The Bombers will probably only need our 1st & 2nd picks + BJ.

And of course he will come with the full backing of many character referees

Stay well away from Essendon players (and coaches)...we haven't had a decent player come from Essendon since Max Crow!

Should've taken a punt on Giles last year.

Best to try to plunder from a club with overly rich rock stocks. Bellchambers would be my first option, but Geelong's over-crowded too. Look at Vardy, West and Simpson in that order. Would love Goldstein but North won't part with him.

Wouldnt cost a great deal, as he's been a spud for past 4 years and all sudden is playing OK football....

How long has Zac Smith signed for at Gold Coast... Now theres your number 1 ruckman of the AFL in couple years.... Could we match what they might be paying him??

End 2013 I believe.

Like Cox, only better that kid. GUN.

Will be shored up with savings made by Fraser's retirement end 2012.

Will be a longtime Sun you'd reckon.

They have another few young talls - Tom Nicholls is handy but thin as, and another in Rory Thompson who is a bit of McEvoy type.

You may be a chance at either of those two.

I'm not averse to Minson if nabbed Polo style.

Damn, i thought it was a fair while. Think most their gun kids are signed for 2-3 years or longer... They do have a few talls as you mentioned, they really seemed to recruit that way..

Still couple gun rucks that are possibly worth targetting from other clubs:

Mitch Clark -
Does he still want out of Brisbane??
Shaun Hampson - Carlton already have Warnock & Kruezar so he'll possibly get limited game time playing 3rd fiddle.

Well the problem is we (i.e. The Forum Posters) want a gun ruckman but after recent events we (i.e. The Forum Posters) don't want to give up our first round draft pick.

Not an easy problem to solve.

We need to take a leaf out of Sydney's book then.

We didn't get him directly from Essendon...He was a former player, yes...but wasn't traded to us...
