team were out from around 1.20-1.30
Players were wearing their own numbers which helped
Huge crowd - club fairly right about being a few hudnred.

missing today
Gardiner
Hayes
Polo
Ray
Cahill
didn't actually spot Smith?

Geary pocked his head out and sat on the sidelines
Milne sat near the rooms for some time after about half session
Fisher running only and a little kick to kick,
some Noted BJ left field early

team were out on the field for over 2 hours- still some signing autographs after 4 pm.

usual warm up- walk, run, stretches, simple drill then more stretching
at various times, mini games for specific drills, group work for ball ahandling, field break groups- backs, centres, forwards, goal kicking with in drills, marking.
short sprint running session for Lynch, mini, kosi, Simpkin and ... ? ( forgotten) for groups and individuals Mini and Curren continued running and kicking to end of session..

most of those still on the ground after about 3.40 took a walk along the fence and signed auotgraphs including the younger guys- all were friendly and happy to chat.- agree about Lynch, but also Andeoli, Archer,Ledger, Crocker and Simpkin

anyone that was there can fill it out or tell me what really happened.

someone's provided a report here

Couple reports from BigFooty Saints site:

SamFisher 25:
only stayed for an hour and then went fishing. healthy crowd nice to see the faithful there.

ok. so no MG. convinced he is doing his sessions in the mornings away from the spotlight but whatever.
kosi, is stuffed. can not get across the ground in fact i dont know why he bothered with a session today because he is clearly not right.
probably only saw half the session.
main group excluded sam fisher. chips was doing running.
bit of kick-2-kick.
no-one really going that hard.
most i saw was rhys stanley try and get it into top gear briefly really has some acceleration when he wants to put the after burners on.
about all i saw. pretty poor report.
one thing was that kosi is mos def lame.

Goodie23:

Was there for an hour and a half, looked like there was still plenty to go. There were a couple who looked flat today. Really unimpressed with Peake, complete lack of intensity, the fact that Blake outpaced him during the sprint part of the warm-up says plenty. Eddy's trying his guts out, partnered with Roo for the warm-up (which made the bumping and wrestling part interesting) but cajones and effort alone do not a player make. Stanley and Gamble weren't too crash hot either.

Really liked the look of young Winmar, still quite slight but agile and quick. Roo gave him a bone-rattling bump during one of the drills, needs to be a little more aware even in training but his chasing was good. Still trying to sort out who a lot of the youngsters are, made harder when they're wearing vests over their numbers. Heyne was kicking for goal during the warm-up, absolutely beautiful to watch.

Not sure if he came into it later, but Dal was doing some running when the match sim began. Didn't notice the lack of Farren at the time.

The match sim was pretty interesting to watch, very A team versus B team. Not sure who the youngster was on Riewoldt (I'd hazard Tommy Simpkin), but he was alright. Winmar mk II copped a bit from Ross for stopping and passing it backwards at one point.

Kosi landed badly on his ankle during the Brisbane game.

I wonder if that's going to be a problem.

Is that the one that was operated on?

it is possible that Kosi could falland crush his own ankle....but in this case....that wasnt the case....

I think you are right. Can't remember who, but I think it was his right ankle.

2nd quarter from memory, could be wrong but we were kicking to the right of screen.

Kos tried to mark a long shot at goal on the line - he landed quite badly on his right ankle and the slow-mo replay didn't look pretty. The thing twisted over 70 degrees.

A Lions defender was nearby (McGrath?) but did not land on it.

Nothing was really mentioned after 1 replay, but surely (and Especially if it's the same ankle as was operated on - any help guys?) it can't be the best.

I understand with ankles, sometimes with a roll it can look a lot worse than what it actually is. But with his recent history, and from what I saw... not great.

Kosi was doing sprints with McQualter and a couple of others at the end of the session. He looked ok.

While some our concerned about Kos's ankle....what I am concerned about is his one clunk marking ability.

It used to be a feature of his game...and it needs to be again for him to survive.

If he cannot be a marking target that can take those contested pack marks he probably no longer has a role in the team.

Yep.. Kosi's one-grab pack/ contested marking especially in the forward line was his main strength, and that seems to have gone, so he needs to either regain it, or risk not getting much of the ball.

I wouldn't be concerned after one greasy game.

I'm confident it will return, as his fitness does.

(he was taking them at Sandy in better conditions)

Fair enough.

SRS was questioning if he still was able to clunk them, not so much against who.
