good signs for the future

Post: # 1059074Post The Sainter »

Stanley, Smith, Steven and Armitage all showed promise at different stages today. For god's sake Ross KEEP pumping games into them. It is a waste of time now playing Dempster, Jones, and Clarke, they are not our future. Rey also is on shaky ground as he is so slow making decisions when he gets the ball often making stupid basic errors. Are Peake and Gamble worth persevering with???
He must also get more games into Archer and Lynch this year and there are a couple of other players getting good reports from Sandy who must be looked at too.
I said we were gone after seeing the first game, and the loss of Lenny has not helped our cause. It still may be an exciting year for us watching some of these young kids showing our future possibilities could still be there.
I also think Baker and Blake are past it but they have been great contributors over many years for us, always having a hard go at all times but alas i think time has caught up with them.

Peake, Jones, Ray, Gamble and Dempster have no place in our best 22 from here on.

Clarke, though, I'll cut SOME slack for now.

Stanley, Smith etc etc. should have an auto-select button next to their names for the next 8 weeks.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Clarke should go up forward.

Yes perhaps Clarke may well be worth a go up forward as he has good skills, his lack of physical strength at his opponent on our back line often lets him down.

Smith will be a player.

How far is Cripps, Crocker, Walsh and Winmar from breaking in.

I think we are seeing the effects now of not blooding enough kids in past, and it's caught up to us. RL has stuck too long to players who gives us nothing for the future.

Ray,Clarke,Dempster and Jones all good players in a great side ,up to them to show the same level or better in a poorer one.

Are you gonna be the one?
