plugger not doubting BJ Gilbert and Gwilt had shockers .... but those guys will make up for their bad games (and if not them its to the VFL for them ) Gram has been progresively going down hill ever since the whole Lovett thing ... he got pleanty of touches today but he did nothing with those touches plus as a defender he does not play on his man well enough to convince me that he adds value to the team ...plugger66 wrote:What a crap thread. Gram was better than most but hey he is letting us down. Must be a good player if we think he is the problem. Looks like he is worth 10 goals. maybe we better look at Joey, Bj, Gilbert and Gwilt before hom tonight.
enough is enough there are blokes like Mini and Eddy who get dropped and delisted because thier form go's down hill yet Gram keeps his spot .... the bloke can play he has shown it but for whatever reason he just doesnt deliver anymore

the whole gram v goddard thing.
Goddard has the ability but has a mental issue (prob something to do with giving your heart and soul to 3 gfs and getting sfa back).
Gram just does not use the ball well. And seldom has. It's an ability issue.
The problem (saints playing like rubbish) lies deeper than Gram's ineffective disposal. There are other players who I'd drop first.

I dont get what people want out of this guy. He kicked a goal tonight from the wing and set up at least 5 shots for goal for other players. He was in the top 6 players for us for sure. Yes some of his kicking was ordinary but some was also very good. Way ahead of many tonight.st_Trav_ofWA wrote:plugger not doubting BJ Gilbert and Gwilt had shockers .... but those guys will make up for their bad games (and if not them its to the VFL for them ) Gram has been progresively going down hill ever since the whole Lovett thing ... he got pleanty of touches today but he did nothing with those touches plus as a defender he does not play on his man well enough to convince me that he adds value to the team ...plugger66 wrote:What a crap thread. Kick chasing.
While his man is 25 meters away.
Turns it over anyway.
We have not butchered the ball like this since 2001.
Our foot skills at the moment are eclipsed by the Gold Coast.

"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....
I thought he played in a winning GF side and also won a B&F. I get it exactly. Pick on the same guys every week even if they are OK.degruch wrote:About sums up why you don't get it. yeah he kicked a goal .. he also got out played by a guy in his second season countless times ... Gram is a defender but he cannot defend to save his life his direct opponent killed us today ... so yeah gram kicked a goal and set up shots on goal but he failed in is job to stop the essendon forward ...plugger66 wrote:I dont get what people want out of this guy. the fact he was in our best 6 tonight is a fair indication of how bad we were and the fact we lost by 10 goals ...

Yep Saints problems are way deeper than Gram's clangers, he was not the worst out there tonight by a long wayBardon Saint wrote:

No Contract, No contact
Did you see Gwilts opponent tonight? And no one is arguing how bad we were. I am arguing that there were many worse than him.st_Trav_ofWA wrote:yeah he kicked a goal .. he also got out played by a guy in his second season countless times ... I wouldn't be picking on him (and all his other slackarse mates) if they'd been any good. Time to fire a warning across Grammy's bow, Ross.plugger66 wrote:I thought he played in a winning GF side and also won a B&F. I get it exactly. Keep in mind Gram was injured for a good chunk of last year.
Every team has blokes that cant kick a ball, Unfortunately we have far too many of them.
It seems to be a team rule that once we get a turn over, we need to put it in the hands of someone who can use it well.
Which like communisim is a great idea in theory.
However by the time Gilbert passes to McQualter who passes to Gram who passes to Peake who passes to CJ who passes to Clarke who passes to Dempster who passes to Dal Santo, Dal has received the ball 40 meters behind where we started and has 3 blokes on top of him.
Designated kickers:
Dal Santo
Gwilt
Goddard
Schnieder
If those 4 blokes aren't around, the ball is butchered.

I bought a shirt from Target once.
It had a hard tag on it too.
I know how Dal feels.

Gram - BOG for clangers - statistical fact.
After his radio comments last week he should have been a standard bearer tonight.
Unless your comment about players playing out their last year was a personal reflection. In which case Grammy, you shouldn't have done the team the disservice of showing up.

Essendon, or St Kilda?plugger66 wrote:Who was better than him today? Give us some names.Teflon wrote:Can not even remotely agree.skeptic wrote:Gram was ok today
The turn overs were critical - deplorable and the poor defensive body on body work when 1 out was comical.
30 touches dont tell the story.
Plenty of Dons players. What about our side.degruch wrote:Essendon, or St Kilda?plugger66 wrote:Who was better than him today? Give us some names.Teflon wrote:Can not even remotely agree.skeptic wrote:Gram was ok today
