Is Smith fast? Apart from him, a fair bit of pace injected to the team which will help us. Don't know much about Smith though... forget him in the nab cup. Is he also pretty quick?
Happy with the final ins. Kosi has to play at Sandi and a bit gutted for Archer who gets one week and dropped immediately.

Smith doesn't strike me as fast, but he is a natural ball winner. Liked him in the NAB cup games the last couple of years.OneEyedSainter77 wrote:Is Smith fast? Yeah, going by people on here, he hasn't been overwhelming at Sandy.saintlee wrote:Pretty surprised to see Stanley in the team, really didn't think his form warranted it.
Great to see Smith get his debut....hard insider midfielder to help cover the loss of Hayes.
I guess he has another opportunity through circumstances similar to last year, up to him if he makes the most of it.
I genuinely excited with the other changes, can't wait to see matchups, a bit of pace, and how it all works out.

Really, once you accept you can never please all the people in regards to team selection, this one goes pretty close. Three main points:
1. Out are 2 players (one injured) who are getting on in years and have question marks in regards to pace and/or skills and/or ability to be creative.
2. Unlike recent years, Mini and Eddy are not called in to "bolster" the team.
3. Plenty of youth including the selection of a first gamer.
That has surely gotta make most of us happy.
Well done to Ross and his team for taking into account the advice provided by the saintsational forumites
