I had heard a rumour, joined a thread that was already started about said rumour and then looked for input from others via a PM , clearly stating that it was ar rumour and that I found it very hard to belive. I didnt mention any details and refused to pass on any details to any of the people who PM'd me.

I could agree with you totally if I had Passed on what I had heard or even swapped it via PM. This didnt happen. I do agree with what you say about unsubstatiated Muck raking but take exception of you accusing someone of something that didnt happen. When you make accusations check your facts. I agree I did add to the massing throng and take your point in regard to that.

I notice you also posted in the same thread adding to its exposure and longevity.

If Fact I had already bought a membership as it renews automatically.
My dilema was in other information that had been passed onto me, and me feeling pretty uncomforatble about it. It had nothing to do with any rumoured videos!!!
I discussed the issues with my son, (17) and for him the focus was about watching footy not all of these other Drama's, So in the end I am going with his wisdom. Sticking with them and attending every game for another season. I still have a problem with the club but I'll get over it. As we are well aware, this is such a mess of lies the truth even if it were to come out will never be believed.

there is only 1 person who can collaborate the true story and they have been shut down and from what i know, it is very unlikely that this person will speak. The hand full of other people who know definitely wont.

I am sorry you have trouble understanding but I agree with you, keeping the discussion going is not useful for anyone, the conversation is only keeping the controversy going.

I initially posted the comment that the 60 minutes story should be seen as the full stop not neccesarily the Truth. It was your incorrect accusations that had the conversations go down the track of the video and SainterK's confusion of two issues that opened the other door. Neither one I felt the need to go back to. but was happy to answer questions when pressed. If you didnt want it to go this way maybe you shouldnt have opened the door.

So let's assume that you are stating the truth and you have received "uncomfortable" information.

You had two options
1) simply keep it too yourself and not do anything to create further damage to your club by posting allusions to the rumour on a public forum.

2) rush to impress everyone at how well connected you are by referring to this disturbing rumour (so disturbing a family conference was held to determine if memberships should be cancelled) but of course declining to offer any details.
