Post: # 1042176Post saintbrat »

did you get an email from the saints- follow the link
you will need the MEMBERSHIP numbers of those you sit with...
http://www.saints.com.au/news/newsartic ... fault.aspx

from Saints.com.au
Attention Reserved Seat holders
In 2011, as part of Reserved Seat Membership packages, we are allocating reserved seats at St Kilda's two MCG home games, Round 2 against Richmond and Round 13 against Geelong. This means that Reserved Seat members will be able to arrive at the game and proceed to your allocated seat as you would at Etihad Stadium.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
But hurry! We need to have this information by 5pm on 1 March 2011. If you do not have a preference about who you want to sit with, or you do not contact us before 1 March 2011, then we will go ahead and allocate you seat for our home MCG games.

Should you have any further questions or wish to speak with a membership representative please do not hesitate to contact us on 1300 GOSAINTS (1300 467 246).

Yes...looks like the Club is telling porkies again...just like they did about notifying SC Members on the new reserved seat options last year.

It is probably just incompetence again....

I got an email.

Are you confident they have your email details?

I assume someone like you would have made it available and up to date, so that being the case it's probably a typical St Kilda admin stuff up.

reminder as saintspremiers said

# make sure the email address the club has is current
# make sure you have checked your Junk Mail- some servers send mass mailings to junk even if it's a legitimate sender-

# suggestion- if you email the club regarding this then they will have your correct email on file- rather than relying on a person to get the .'s and net's or com's in the right order.

It was advised on renewals that if you sit with people and want to do the same at our home mcg games that all membership renewals should be sent in together. So if all your renewals were sent in together you should be fine

this is a second query for MCG- Ticketek's info- as opposed to Ticketmaster's info- regarding your Block / friend seating

it was a simple survey type email- you just had to put names and membership numbers- to enable sitting together at MCG- other wise your memberhsip cards will come with seperate seats at the MCG-

I didn't get an email.

Even so, given that it's the club that allocates the seats, surely they already have this information? :?

link to survey
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/saints_mcg_seating

Thank you for signing as a member in 2011.
This year, for the first time we have implemented membership changes which the club believes will continue to improve your member experience and provide convenient access to both Etihad Stadium and the MCG.
One important change is to provide you as part of your reserved seat membership package an allocated reserved seat at our two MCG home games, Round 2 Saints v Richmond and Round 13 Saints v Geelong. This will mean, that you will be able to arrive at the game and proceed to your allocated seat as you would at Etihad Stadium.
In order for us to make sure your MCG seating is allocated with friends and family that you sit with at Etihad Stadium we ask that you take a couple of minutes to fill out a survey through the below link. Once we receive this information from you, we will be able to allocate your MCG seat and have your 2011 Membership card mailed in readiness for the season.
(Click here to complete the survey)
Should you have any further questions or wish to speak with a membership representative please do not hesitate to contact us on 1300 GOSAINTS (467 246)
GO SAINTS!

Haven't checked to see if I've got the email yet, but am I correct in thinking I had read something from the club stating that membership cards would be sent by Feb 20th? (I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere?)
And yet here it is Feb 21 and they are only just asking for this info now?

Correct, a couple weeks ago they said that all membership cards and packs will be sent out and received by Feb 20... But maybe they meant Feb 20, 2015

The email/letter isn't a new thing, it was sent ages ago.

What they are saying is that alot of people have not responded yet and therefore to sit with people you want to, you need to contact the Club before the due date.

If you don't reply, you will still have a reserved seat, you just wont be able to sit wherever you like or with whoever you like.

I will contact the club just in case. I don't recall receiving any such e-mail but if I did get an e-mail from the club I'm 100% confident I would have responded.
Now I'm having vague recollections of having to fill something in on a folded glossy brochure received in the mail. I think I might even have posted something in a thread on here somewhere telling people about a question that might have gone unnoticed.
But I'm really confused as to whether I'm remembering correctly......

Deb - it is the same thing we had to do for the Geelong game at the G last year.

I am pretty sure it came with your renewal letter as well.

this year they are designating specific seats Not an area- hence the need for specific members who sit together.

But let us know what you find debi..

Cheers Saintsbrat, done survey easy enough. We will have to wait now for new membership cards, the club is going to be inundated with people wanting to pick up hats and scarves all at once, because by the look of it the cards will be posted out at the same time,

Why dont they just organise the seating at the G along the same lines as the reserved seats at Etihad???

Why are we telling the club stuff they should already know??

...and no I got no email

My daughter wondered the same thing. And I hope as I'll be designated the same seat for both games that its comparable to the one I have at Etihad.
Why is it that the club seems to make these things harder than they should need to be?

And if I click on the link to the survey in saintbrat's earlier post to the survey (that I definitely haven't been sent a copy of), can I assume that will be counted and I won't need to ring the club?
