I liked the look of Crocker and Gamble, Armatage was going ok until he pulled up a bit sore near the end.

Interesting that Harley mentioned how Golong sent him to the back end of their VFL defence last year. Why, given their front half was where they lacked?

He's an option, no more, no less. But, he has his chance.

Why? Did you not hear the rest of what Harley said? He said Gamble had a couple by the name of Steve Johnson and Paul Chapman, playing the same sort of role, keeping him out of the Geelong forward line. Then they also had Mooney, Tom Hawkins and Podsiadly. Ablett also spent a lot of time there last year. Not too much room for Gamble amongst that lot.
I was really impressed with what he did last night. Showed that he can lead up to the ball really well. Can mark really strongly overhead, at full stretch (and seems to have very long arms) and can kick the snap goals that we also saw on the YouTube footage of him.
Those attributes are exactly what we've been looking for, to give us another avenue to goal and take a load off Roo and he's well and truly worth sticking with, especially since he's still only young. Could be a brilliant "bargain" pick.

MorningGlorySEN Morning Glory
According to the Herald Sun, Tom Gamble kicked 3 for the Saints last night - didn't Ryan Gamble play??

He was pleased with the effort of young Tom Ledger, along with small forward targets including recruit from Geelong, Tom Gamble, who had a purple patch against the Lions with three goals.
just joining the 'Tom " tradition grwoing at the saints - given 4 of our 5 Toms Played last night.
