VERY Rare Home Movie of the Stkilda Trip to tassie in 1967

about 6mths ago i brought a 8mm flim off ebay on the box it said Stkilda football clubs trip too Tasmania 1967 finally over Christmas i had it put on dvd so here it is

5mins in glorious Colour,sadly no sound but you cant have everything :wink:

this isnt something i just taped off tv this is VERY RARE footage of our history one of a kind

wonderful mcadam- pity it doesn't have sound.

can I ask the process for transferring from 8mm- I ahve a friend who has some they wish to copy over..

i went too teds in the city for that little bit of flim it cost me a 120 bucks

Big Carl rather stands out. Pity he didn't play in the last match of the previous season. He deserved weeks for what he did out at the old Fitzroy Oval, but 4 (like every other offence of a similar nature in those days) not 6. The Tribunal penalty was calculated on the basis of the number of games to ensure that he could not play in the GF (barring a draw).

Thank you so much Mcadam.

The little brown headed boy in the #4 Saints jumper who pushes in for an autograph at the start and then has about 4 or 5 cameos throughout is actually my Dad!!

He was 10 at the time but he still has the green autograph book that he can be seen pushing under all the boys noses.

What an absolute classic. This one will be trotted out at family get togethers for years to come!!

I can see Cowboy welded as usual to a glass of the amber, but who was that skylarking with a bottle towards the end?
