I will certainly enjoy this, as I have your other vids, as someone who witnessed TB’s debut and great career afterwards.
I just hope my enjoyment is not diminished by that other thread where it is suggested, much to my surprise, that the Saints aren’t really my club after all and that these players are really just income chasing renegades strutting their stuff to indulge the desires of the corporate suits.
Of course TB forewent a fair whack of his income in the interests of the club he purported to love but hey, let’s not let that get in the way

Fantastic links.
So many menories - good and bad.
Such a champion.
Was always our heir apparent.
Still grieving for Barks.

I'm glad you like your idea.skeptic wrote:i quite like my idea actually.
who would be the best person from the club to e-mail?
Barks is already held in high regard by the club.
The B&F award is named after him.
The Trevor Barker Beach Oval is a landmark.
Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

Bernard,
Far be it from me to suggest that he's not or that the club is forgetting about him or anything like that
the B&F, the TB oval and his foundation are all things that despite strongly carrying on his legacy, happened a while ago now.
He's such a part of what this club represents that I think it'd be nice to just have an ocassion like a fundraiser for the TB foundation and reiterate what it is that he stood for.
It would be good to pay respects (again) and also share the story with the kids growing up that perhaps were too young to get the TB legacy.
Would be nice for the club to do something positive in the wake of all the negativity out there

Thanks for the vids.
For someone like myself, who was to young to remember his passing and the legacy he left at the club during his playing days. Its nice to pay homage to Trevor and his loyalty to the club and pass on the tale of the great man to the younger generation to instill our motto of fortius quo fidelius.
