Frankie Coghlan

Post: # 1035224Post busso mick »

I was watching the 7:30 report tonight and a Frank Coghlan appeared on an article about flooding of farmland in northern Victoria. It looked a bit like the ex-Saint, can anyone confirm that Frankie is now a farmer and he was the farmer that was interviewed?

I'm pretty certain it was the same Frank Coghlan that played for us.

I missed the start of the story, so I wasn't too sure where his farm is located.

Sounds like he needs some help in the cleaning up of his property.

As far as I can remember he came to the Saints from Bendigo/Golden Square area, so he could easily be back on the land.

These links above have some pictures/audio of Frank Coghlan and the flood story. It is in the same area that he is from however from appearance I can't be sure that it is him. Maybe someone else might know??

Looking at the photo it's a bit hard to tell, especially with the passing of years and the wearing of the cap. I actually had a little bit to do with him when he was at the club but that was a long time ago.

However you certainly couldn't discount it's him as he did go back to Bendigo after he finished up with the Saints.

Thanks Bardon Saint, the photos look a bit like him so I think it may be him. I can see a resemblance from this site (the seocnd photo). http://www.aflphotos.com.au/galleries/r ... %20Coghlan
If so all the best Frankie on your recovery for your farm.

Certainly looked like him. I have a no 15 worn by him somewhere. Won it in a raffle after a Western Saints function in Perth many many moons ago.

Terrible devastation through that area. Good luck to the Coghlan family.

He lives out of Bendigo out near Bridgewater wher the water went over the footy ground as it right next to the Loddon River, I didn't see the vision of him but Coghlans out through that area.
