The carpark is of a temporary nature only.ChicagoSaint wrote:nice one bratty! cheers mate. carpark eh? wicked. and perspex, cool.saintbrat wrote:perspex only from what I saw But carpark was poured on the 20th oct and looks settled.
be nice if the signage of the emblem on the corner were vacuum formed rather than just 2D.
According to some experts on here, this facility will be so undesirable that in future years the only players we'll be able to attract will be those who travel by public transport. At that point in time the carpark will be torn up, a bus stop installed and the excess land sold off to keep the ailing club afloat.

went down today and had a look. was talking to the security guard.
okay, so there has been a design change to do with the screening at the main entrance.
apparently they had some problems with the screening in the wind the other day making a lot of noise.
eventually they had to re-do the screening.
the acrylic sheeting on the screening that was to be used is now actually only coloured colorbond steel and the red white and black that we all know and love will, in fact, from this day forward be, unless changed, get this, white, black and -- ORANGE.
well f*ck me drunk and bury me a catholic! when did we actually decide that we were orange white and black .. who knows, anyone?
news on the inside. all flooring is down and they are doing the desks and all of the office furniture. bits and pieces. the final fitout basically.
anyway, i'm told that there is probably three or four weeks worth of work to be done inside and around the carpark. there is still a public toilet block that will be demolished and then there is the fencing.
there have been some security concerns however,
a vandal had jumped the fence recently and had written GO PIES! on one of the external white walls in black paint. it was cleaned off and had to be repainted, i mean FFS what can you expect, some people! when brumby has helped foot the bill you get it on the big jobs. still, you wouldn't want it to continue.
A. At present there is no fence to protect the front (oval side, or the oval itself) of the building aside from temporary fencing.
B. there will need to be security permanently stationed on the complex for 12 hours in every 24 hours.
C. Even with regard to a security officer there will still need to be some sort of fencing as the complex needs to be secure from all forms of vandalism.
anyway, that was my day. i hope you all enjoyed this report.

Tess is not a friendly visitor. He is a Collingwood supporter. His favourite topic of discussion is the Greening / O'Dea incident. I believe he uses the moniker "Tess" to obviate his sexual preference, not that there's anything wrong with that. Do not feed the troll.

the section I saw C S was what obviously creates a barrier around the building
from the concept photos ther would appear to be a slightly oronge section that becomes the stronger red white and black at each end
is that the section that is being converted to iron?
