Interesting comment on AFL Trade Chat from Luke Holmesby:
"Player manager Ricky Nixon says David Hale, Andrejs Everitt and Richard Tambling should all find new clubs as soon as tomorrow "
Saints still in negotiations this arvo, as are Ricmond, Adelaide and Collingwood. Dogs and North have left.
No comments from the Saints yet.

AFL_LHolmesby No one left here at Etihad. Apparently Richmond, Saints, Collingwood, Adelaide and Gold Coast all found a side exit. #tradeweekdegruch wrote:Interesting comment on AFL Trade Chat from Luke Holmesby:

Everitt to Sydney and Vezpremi to Dogs in a straight swap is the word.
Hale will possibly join best mate Dan Harris at GC.
Tambling looks a lock for Adelaide.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

I hope that list is incorrect.
Until he got injured in the 2009 GF Raph was consistently good in our finals. And David Armitage, what other in and under on ballers do we have if Lenny is injured etc?
I strongly believe that we should be getting rid of our bottom 6. Does this mean we are goiing to keep them? How on earth are we going to improve?

re the list there is no author or authority given - it's just there..
Heard raph say last week that he was back running and looking to build up for pre-season and then forward.
the Official AFL trade articles only mentione Armo to essendon-- http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/ ... fault.aspx

BUT given Essendond historic reluctance to COMPLETE trades- most other clubs don't like to deal with them- same with Collingwood - who then take the track of least resistance and pick up in drafts.ST KILDA
On the table: Playing in two grand finals has kept the Saints fairly quiet so far, but David Armitage going to Essendon has been mentioned around the traps.
Targets: Will presumably try to trade in some leg speed, as they did last year with Andrew Lovett and Brett Peake, neither of whom delivered as hoped.

Keep hearing that the Bombers are after an "in and under" player and are therefore looking at Armo. But it's not like we've got a glut of "in and unders" ourselves.
Armo, IMO, is a required player.

Apologies if it's been posted but apparently we're interested in Tambling...

I actually think he would add to the team, he has pace and kicking skills. But what do you give up?

Yeah, you might be right but he did have a purple patch a while back where he was getting 25+ possessions a game and looked like he was fulfilling some of that potential. Not sure what happend this year - injury or a fall out with the coach or something else?#1GILL wrote:For Tambling? f*** all..suss wrote:Apologies if it's been posted but apparently we're interested in Tambling...

Lot of talk on this forum about spuds.SaintSimmo wrote:I would like to see the saints go after Mark Blake (we need a ready made ruckman) and Beau Dowler (Plays forward but can play back, out of favour at Hawks as Roughead and Franklin, etc. keeping him out of the side)
I suspect Blake may be potato like.
Absolutely no interest from the Dr.

Dowler is a very low quality footballer, he is a tall strong KPP who is not that great overhead, extremely slow and injury prone.
Mark Blake is worse we would be better going with McEvoy and Kosi than Blake as a ruckman.
I wouldn't mind Tambling as he is talented, unfortunately this year he has been injured but last year he was starting to play some really good football. He is reasonably quick with very good skills and a good strong tackler.
Unfortunately, the name I am hearing that we are interested in is Leon Davis. If we do trade for him then we may as well give up now as it is all downhillfrom here.
