gees you can tell this is not going to be the number news for the day, no posts on it and its half way down the page.
It would have been top news any other day but with the Collingwood sex probe breaking the news today, Bomber has picked a perfect day to quit.

OK DSG, I'll bite.
I wonder the extent to which he was pushed rather than decided to move on vountarily?
It's hard to say: seriously, there really isn't that much for him to "coach" for now. Two premierships in the bag, a relatively poor outlook for the next couple of years now that the club's superstar has jumped ship, and so on. I'd have pulled th plug if i were him (which thank goodness I'm not: how does he get a toothbrush into his mouth through those lips?)
Leigh Tudor to replace him?

Ken Hinkley is my guess with Tudor as one of his assistants.meher baba wrote:OK DSG, I'll bite.

Was hoping Bomber would stay on actually. Would be good for him to run the team into the ground over the next 12 months. With Hinkley, they will barely skip a heartbeat!

Hinkley is a lock for GC, not interested in a senior role, is only just settling in on GC with his family and is a lynchpin in the Ablett deal.
Won't go anywhere.
Won't go anywhere.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Bomber has been gone for a while. It is just only official now.
Basically as soon as failed to turn up on Brownlow night he has been gone. He has just been playing funny buggas ever since.
If he had respect for other people he should have made it official on the night of the Cats B+F.

Voss was settled in WA too if I remember rightly. Wouldn't be so sure that it won't happen. Funny for Ablett if he does go and if this was the 'lynchpin' in the deal.Thinline wrote:Hinkley is a lock for GC, not interested in a senior role, is only just settling in on GC with his family and is a lynchpin in the Ablett deal.

I recon he's off back to Essendon believing half of Geelong blame him as a major reason (along with the money), for Abletts departure!!
He'd lost the plot a few months ago , stress-wise with the Ablett saga then it became painfully obvious as the side bowed out
Witness his absolute carry-on over the Gwilt free still days after the game when the rest of the footy world all believed it was there!!
well out of character I would have thought for any normal thinking coach, right or wrong decision regardless

So we've finally seen off Geelong.
Just have to wait till Collingwood disintegrate.
That will be our window.
... providing Melbourne haven't arrived by then.
