Been following Saints for over 40 years.
Since 97 i have now seen four unsuccessful attempts to win a flag
We are never destined to winning a flag.

Time to shut up shop, stop pouring money into this and cut the losses.
Might do more exercise and spend time with the family.

Can't go on being gutted every year.

It sickens me to see how well the pies have developed their younger kids.

What the saints served up today was rubbish. For those that stayed to the end, thank you again for being a prime example of why we are a bunch of losers. Seriously guys by the definition of losers we are losers. Ultimately the aim of AFL is to win grand finals nothing more. We had our shot three times and blew them all. We are not good enough and as supporters if we keep being 'positive' about or boys we will always be disappointed. Granted for many, AFL and the saints are their life and not following the saints would put a massive whole in their existance but lets be honest, at the end of the day 100% of our so called hero saints will board a flight to an exotic destination in the next couple of days while we go back to our jobs to pay for our memberships, reserved seats, finals tickets etc. Does it hurt that much??Redemption is a farce. I is time you took that crap post off the front page of the forum and that we all stop setting ourselves up for another saints disapointment. The Saints were born losers and until we win another flag we will remain losers. Unfortunately this is the cold hard truth. A truth I will be hammered for but a truth that will haunt us for a long time and for many of us, life.

I never, ever leave a game early.

I walked out today at the 12 minute mark of the last.

Shattered. I sat and gave respect to the Cats last year, sat through the whole presentation, Norm Smith etc etc. Not this time.

Caught a train home - stopped at Southern Cross and had an argument with security at Loco Bar.

I had clearly already lost the faith of my co-Saints I was sitting with bcos I got totally irate with a SC member who brought her filth-supporting boyfriend into our sanctum in M2...maybe that was wrong of me but it was a structural move within our group that put me behind him so I could go hard at him...

My son caught a bus from the station when we got back into town, I wandered aimlessly for a few hours, grabbed a souva, just got home, thought I would put a media ban on myself but I haven't...

f****** shattered.

You know what I wanted before the grand final,I wanted to move on after today. I wanted nothing more than to move on. As moving on is when I get too see a flag. It's just got to the stage now that i want to move on and invest all this emotion into something else,rather than a stupid footy team. But I can't,not until I see a flag.....it's like a burning beast inside me,and it won't go away until we win one. Unfortunatly all this pent up anger could be with me for a lot longer than hoped,and it's only getting more fuel thrown on it's fire

I've tried to walk away before. After 05 I cracked the sh!ts big time. We had a talented list,but half of them were to busy looking forward to getting on the gear at years end,than to put in the effort required to win the flag. That year the premiership was just there for the taking,and we gave nothing. I walked away that night and said that's it. I was living in the NT at the time so that helped. 06 came along and I didn't care,not like before anyway. When Melbourne knocked us out in the finals it was just like another loss.

But you get drawn back in,you can't stay away. I took a step back this year compared to last,I only went to about 8-9 games...I just wanted to fast forward to september,the H&A season sh!tted me. We got back to where so desperatly wanted to get back to 12 months ago,and we got not one,but two shots at the holy grail,and we failed...again...FFS

It's not easy being a passionate Stkilda supporter. We're constantly mocked,and now our mockers have more fuel. We just have to sit back and take it,and that really sh!ts me...cos they're right

Well I will be supporting someone else, the New YorK Giants till about December when they don't make the play-offs.
Of course in the Baseball anybody but the Yankees.
We are all gutted, and yes this club will not shed it's loser image until it wins one of these, and not just one, we need to do what Geelong just did, dominate for 3-4 years.
Before 07 Geelong we're losers, now we are saying it's the end of an era.
Let's just hope with the brand new facilities will come an even more professional attitude and a better result.
