Although we have had a trying year both on and off the field once again so much has been left to so few.
Its a shame that players like Hayes, Reiwoldt, Dal Santo, Goddard & Fisher will probably never see a premiership. The problem is a severe lack of both leg speed and poor decision making. Where sides have a bottom six we appear to have a bottom twelve at times. I have followed the saints through some very lean years but those sides that won very few games may not have had as many top players but the lesser players were more capable.
Unfortunately recruiting has been poor and while having a few possibles we don't appear to have any real stand outs coming through.
If we manage to snag a couple of quick players that can keep themselves out of trouble hopefully the decline will not be too quick or of a long duration.
