He had a bad day in the GF, and knocked up 30 touches. He had a "bad" day because he had a knee injury. In fact, whilst some aspects of his play have dropped off, others seemed to have improved, goal kicking being one of them. He has never been more accurate. Also, the number of possessio...

Franklin does not have a classic style, like Fraser. It will serve him well for a time while he is young and uninjured as his kicking strength makes up for lack of technique. Nick is an example of the ravages of time and injury - as is Kosi - for big men. It remains to be seen how it plays out for F...

I'm sure Steven Baker's injury occurred in that marking collision where he once again put his body on the line. I don't have the replay but if his big toe was pushed into the ground which extended his knee forward that is how you can get a pcl injury. It is unusual for footballers, except ruckman wh...

Wasn't a knock out blow but it winded him.

Maybe Leigh should have fallen to the ground, writhed in agony and dobbed the other player in. We don't seem to do that.

In the last quarter, 70 metres off the ball. Did anyone else see it? Not the one he got a free for.

Nick D 'did' the shoulder two weeks ago and although the Richmond players sought to whack him every time on it, didn't inconvenience him too much - easy to say from the stands I know. Luke Ball is "inconvenienced " to say the least with his groin. I note that Simon Black now has the same p...

The incident is worth looking at but relies on the panel reaching a conclusion about the player's motives, which they may be reluctant to do. I have no doubt, like others, that he meant to injure Nick - and he succeeded. That is Unduly Rough Play and deserves time. I also agree that Nick showed woef...

He didn't say we are no good, he said that with the injury list and the fact that nobody is in form we are not the match of Geelong and Hawthorn. And we are not. But he said that we are winning when we are not in form and that is good. Whether it's form or game plan time will tell. But winning by a ...

Where were the Saints fans?

Familiar theme I know, but of the 40 thousand there it seemed like two thirds were Richmond supporters. Our membership is 30,000 and Richmond's is 37,000 (7,000 unticketed whatever that means). Once, on a Saturday night, the Saints fans would turn up in their droves, even at the Dome (but especially...

The only problem with what you say is that because the siren rang he had to have a shot. If it didnt ring he may have passed to someone closer. Now let me get this clear - the player knows there are only a few seconds left - let's say he knows there are 14 seconds left (which he can't unless there ...

Re: GT Versus RL

... also Richo is way more effective playing up the ground (albiet often unmanned - ploise explain Rossy!). He got no kicks on his own on the wing - the correct thing was to leave him there and hope that Richmond left him there. They were hoping we would fall for the trap and put Riewoldt on him. H...

I think you will find that his feet are again a problem. He did take a contested mark in the last quarter when he had to come back on because we were down to 18. Only the second contested mark from our backs all night.

Didn't see that bit as we were on level three and can't see the boundary line action. Should mitigate his actions if he was kneed.

Michael Gardiner was great

I thought his ruck work was exceptional and probably was responsible for the win. He played more time than planned I reckon but there was little choice in the end. Kosi's last quarter was good but he does not have the natural feel of a ruckman. Gardiner and King is what we need, but we seem cursed.

He is woefully out of form. He lack of physical strength does not lend itself to any other position. But, we have no option but to persist. We will have at least 4 out with injuries - Riewoldt, Clarke, Baker, Maguire and possibly Dempster. With Kosi out suspended, it will be scratch team against the...

He tried to hit Simmonds in the guts but hit his arm instead and slightly pulled it. Unfortunately, it was right in front of the emergency umpire so if it is not on video he is in trouble.
