My dad, my wife and a few of my mates went to the Precinct Hotel on Swan st in Richmond last year. It was good because I got to have a few pre-game nerve calmers with the crew before leaving them to make the short walk up to the 'G. It has a really big screen and a cracking atmosphere (based on thei...

Re: Hayes Robbed...WAFJ!!!
Lenny is 100% focussed on winning the Preliminary Final this weekend. Probably couldn't care less about the popularity contest the AA team has become. How about we all do the same? He might not now but he may well one day. It is an absolute joke and we have a right to vent on our footy forum FFS.

Well done Jiggster...you can sure lead a chant!! I was sitting behind you and we gave each other a number of high fives throughout the game. M30 did its part I think to combat the Cats cheer squad but our chants did get a little subdued in the last 5 or so minutes when most of us were too nervous to...

I agree entirely with the OP. It seemed to me as Ross treated this game as a teaching activity and saw it almost as a live training exercise. They say that you learn a great deal more from the losses than the wins and you could see at the breaks Ross was drawing everything he could from each quarter...

I just find sometimes when bulls*** is dribbling out of my mouth, like it is for you at the moment Teflon, it is better to shut down the old computer and sleep on it. Swagger of '09. WTF?? Coming in to last years finals we lost to North, Essendon and were woeful againt Melbourne yet turned it on whe...

I take heart out of just checking the stats and seeing our disposal per goal was 93.0..... In comparison Cats had 28.0. All others around 23-25... Worst comparison ever ...Geelong played the bottom team at Skilled Stadium. A better one would have been Pies-Adelaide last week. You should go ...

. Geelong seem to have got their September mojo going again. ....and the evidence is being up by 4 points at half time against the bottom side at a ground they haven't lost at for three years. We had a perfect hit out against a side that is expert at applying pressure. Next Friday night is the time...

1. How did we move the ball into fwd 50 - any fluency? 2. Form of key players? 3. Pressure across the ground - was it there? 4. Decision making under pressure - or did we just make sloppy decisions under little real pressure and turn it over? 1. Adelaide are great at applying defensive pressure all...

Ross was spot on with everything he said. When the competition is this close, a few per cent of effort and emotion can swing a game and today they had a lot more to play for than we did. If Fish is ok, it was a good, tough hitout under finals like pressure that will set us up beautifully for next we...

You may be right about Zac in that if Sam, Blakey, and Jimmy can handle the opposition talls, he probably isn't in the 22 at the moment. Like we are always told by the match committee, it may once again come down to the horses for courses approach. Against the Pies, I think we would go in without Za...

The Bookends
I just watched last years Prelim and the thing that struck me most was how good both Kosi and Zac were in this game. Both played strong, powerful footy that has been rarely seen by either of them this year. If Kosi can continue to improve and Zac can get back to his best, we will go a long way in Se...

I love how Vossy says that he is very popular around the club and that the boys love him yet he cuts him before the end of the season just as the poor bloke gets released from hospital. He was a great footballer Vossy but he has got a lot to learn about man management and the maintenance of morale a...
