ok so i'm stressing just a little bit. My mum has just got home and reckons nothing has been taken from her account, but she has just got the paper she printed out that confirmed our registartion. she definately said she said yes to standing room so that can't be the issue, so unless the bank is ha...

I am starting to really worry. I am a SC member, registered as I should including Standing Room and yet I have nothing deducted.

I am not sure what is going on but I am not happy about it.

Nice pick up Leo...gloves have affected a number of blokes kicking in the past, hence Quinten Lynch taking it off before he kicks etc.

He definatley wasn't dropping it well against the Pies. Even the second one that did go through looked like something off Peter Sumich's boot.

Healy on the couch tonight

Gerard Healy on the couch clearly suggested tonight that there is talk about St Kilda players enjoying their social lives a bit too much about a month ago and that this had contributed to the form slump between rounds 20-22. This is the first I have heard this being discussed. I guess if it is true ...

Max has to come in against the Dogs.

If Ross is serious about his horses for courses approach, Zac should not be selected as he simply does not have a match up against the Dogs.

Blake- Hahn
Max- Johnno
Gilbert- Murphy
Baker- Aker
Fisher- Welsh
Raph- Hill

On first glance: Blake vs Cloke Dawson vs Anthony Bakes vs Medhurst Jones vs Davis Dempster vs Didak Hayes vs Swan So really only try to shut down Davis and Didak and trust that our on-ballers will win the contested footy and be too quick for the Collingwood midfield. A big thing will be the selecti...

Another week to wait

Roo's point last week has played over and over in my head during the last week... why didn't he take a few more seconds to calm himself, why didn't Kosi take the grab, why didn't we keep coming when we looked in the box seat with 10 mins to go etc etc etc The only consolation, I thought, what that w...

Dawson I think should get the nod against Geelong, Adelaide and Collingwood with Max getting a game against Brisbane, Hawthorn, Essendon (with Lloyd), Carlton and the Bulldogs. Dawson gives us more offensively than Max and unless there is a clear match up for him, I would lean toward Zac. Conversly ...

1. Dawson, Hudghton, Blake, Fisher, and Gilbert all can't fit in the one back half
2. Ball and Armitage shouldn't both be in the 22
3. Ball is not a Foward flanker
4. CJ and Mini are just as valualbe to this team as Goddard and Montagna

Tonight really backed up that the team (especially the back half) should be picked on a horses for courses basis.

Zac was down tonight but as you said, he didn't have a match up. With the Bombers small forwards, surely Geary would have been th better option.

We all said the same things about Farren Ray last October.

If this is true, I am confident that the list managers will prove once again that they know more about football and the needs of this list than we do!

I was not sold on Dempster until recently but since the Bulldogs game he has continued to impress me. He is a genuine utility player and can fill any number of gaps that arise throughout a game which gives Ross a great deal of flexibility. I would see him as the match up for Didak and could play on ...

and of course I neglected Farren.....he would be in my top 22 but I am unsure who I would leave out against the Dogs. Maybe Ball???

I am sure some you will say Gwilt. I think he gives us a real option to exploit the Dogs lack of tall backs and this was demonstrated quite nicely in rnd 17.

Assuming we are playing the dogs, my ideal first final side would be: B: Baker Max Blake HB: Raph Fisher Gilbert C: Joey Lenny BJ HF: Dal Roo Schneider F: Milne Kosi Mini Foll: Gardiner Ball CJ Int: King Gram Gwilt Dempster So therefore Dawson, Eddy, Steven, Armo, Geary and Big Benny would be the un...

If Gardiner is fit I would bring him in to play the second tall and leave King and McEvoy to play in the ruck.

The way Gardi has been cluncking them lately, he would severley stretch the Dogs backline.

With Luke out, this may have been a good week to play Armitage.

With almost three years in the system it would be nice to see if he could offer us anything in September.

Any need for a change? There's no injuries. We havent played a side so far this year with two dominant talls like Brisbane have. I think Max should come back in to take either Brown or Bradshaw. Who normally gets them? We've never fielded 2 fullbacks against Brisbane, have we? Well Max would have n...

Gram would be bordering on the top 10 players at the club. He is playing his role well by breaking the lines and providing a midfield scoring option. I cant see how you could say he is at risk.

In: Max, Goose Out: Gwilt, King Play Max on Brown and Zac on Bradshaw. Play Goose as the third tall forward option swapping with Gardiner in the ruck. Ross said on the couch tonight that he sees Goose as a mobile ruckman so this would be a game to test that theory with the Lions lack of ruck stocks.
