Anyone who saw that game when riewoldt was out injured in 2007 just before BJ copped his injury where he played CHF, it was pretty damn good. folks stood up and noticed, and he then got cut down with injury. BJ has been between solid and good for a couple of years now, just doesn't get the notice. ...

Good work LENNY LEADS THE WAY. Refreshing to read a positive thread.

There's no point dwelling on the negatives at the minute. I'm very keen to see what the young kids can bring to the side tomorrow night.

Nice post kaos theory. I would select option D. Critical time for the club now...the rest of the year really needs to be focusing on development of the youngsters and finding out which of the "middle tier" players are worth keeping. Crucial draft next year as it will be the last one before...

Re: Big Decisions

Rooy - Needs to be traded, before its too late. His body is stuffed, hence the 10 rolls of elastoplast every week. Lets tade him while the rest of the league still rates him. Will jump ship anyway Milne - Shouldn't be playing VFL let alone AFL Fiora - Finished as AFL an player, probably never was. C...

a few years ago these same players couldn't be written off when 5 or 6 goals down. now we fold when we are 5 or 6 goals up. I'm pretty sure i heard a commentator in the media somewhere say that at no time under Thomas did we come back and win after being down by 4 goals. Not 100% sure though. Howev...

Re: Why we lost

The first quarter and a bit of the second quarter saw a hard attack on the ball. We outplayed them 70% of the time in the first quarter but two bad umpiring decisions gifted them two goals. That was the most frustrating part about the game - we were actually on top for a substantial period there! A...

The main problem I believe lies with our recruiting from 2004 - 2006. Here is a sample of some of the useless talent we picked up in that period. Allan Murray, Mark McGough, Nick Stone, Fergus Watts, Cathal Corr, Dylan Pfitzner, Cain Ackland, Phillip Raymond, Justin Sweeney. There is many more that...

Seems like a nice person, but he's not up to it. Let's stop beating around the bush here and playing the loyalty card. He's not up to AFL level - you just can't put it any other way. Well said. I thought he tried hard on friday night but some players are just not good enough, thats a fact. He's had...

Credit where credit is due - Dal was superb. He's been much maligned this year but on friday night he showed his class - hopefully he can string a few games like that together.

If our midfield continues that kind of form from friday night I think the team's results will lift soon.

Allen looks a likely type for mine, but should be held back until it's clear we need him, or his form can't be ignored. Yeah i was quite impressed by Allen in the NAB Cup and it seems from a distance as if he has been playing reasonably well for the Scorps. I would much rather see him get a game ah...

Don't ever listen to Dwayne "the drainpipe" Russell on sports Today. He's always hated Rooey...i can't think of a sports journo out there in the media that is more biased or plays favourites more. All he talks about is Port, Cats, some Adelaide players and Buddy. He'll say anything to get ...

Gram did all right on friday night, I feel as though his work off the ball has improved. However, had at least 2 very, very gettable shots on goal in the 2nd quarter though that a player of AFL standard should be kicking. Mind you, he wasn't the only culprit in that regard! He is a very inconsistent...

Kosi's goal kicking has been very dissapointing in the preseason matches. Rooey's has been very accurate though and has been getting shots in more gettable positions instead of getting shots from acute angles as he did last year. Charlie also needs to work on his goal-kicking if he is to cement a sp...

Gilbert has gone passed Raph im afraid. Gilbert shows Raph what could be. Intensity. Tackling. Decision-making. Gilbert has flown past Raph on the development stakes. B Goddard He's coming back from a knee reco. I wouldn't expect too much in the 1st 1/2 of the season, with some really good signs in the 2nd 1/2. Look at Lenny for a precedent !! Good call Eastern. The most we can hope from BJ is to stay injury-free and get some games under his belt and push on tow...

Schneider - merely because if he plays near his best it will give the coaching staff/match committee no reason to play Milne.
