The Lions were very good today, VERY good. Proven by our wide shots at goal. The Lions were good, they stuck to their plan. But if we had converted well in front of goal it would been a 5-8 goal win - would we be saying they were very good then? I accept they did force us to go wide on occasions bu...

Re: Tackling

Took a backward step today. The lions absolutely monstered us in this department (86-61), and a lot of the time we couldn't make our tackles stick, or they Brisbane players just pushed us off with ease. This raises the question about whether we can keep up our high tackling game throughout the seas...

the same must be said for raph clarke. if you watch him closely, every time he gets the ball he tries to dish it off by handpass straight away even if the team mate is in a worse position than he is in. our best 22 does not have gwilt in it, and i am not so sure about raph clarke either. philip Rap...

First seven games were excellent. Did his job, had a role. Last two games have been poor. Needs to return to earlier form to justify his spot, but may be running out of time. Totally agree Beno88. He has played a great role for most of the year, especially in regards to tackling and pressuring oppo...

We're not gonna win every match by 10 goals, and keep every team goal less for half the match. Spot on mick13. We've still got a lot of work to do...good thing is that we have 9 wins under our belt and can still improve massively. I really admired the way we just stepped up to the plate in the last...

Don't forget Milburn and possibly Byrnes. Also Gamble went off injured on friday night after looking sharp early, which totally messed up their fwd structure.

We do actually need to play well against Geelong in round 14 because they have very comfortably defeated us in the last two seasons, especially that humiliating loss in the finals last year. So we need to play well to show ourselves more than anyone that we have in fact closed the gap and to give u...

Good to see Raph back, if he turns in a blinder, who does Gram replace to get back in? Raph, Geary or Mini depending on what kind of balance the coaches want. Raph's extra height i think is what got him a spot for tomorrow over Eddy...his extra height will come in handy against Brown & Bradshaw.

Disgraceful. and with that im now cutting down on the many hours i listen to SEN. Ditto. SEN has lost all credibility. Hats off to Robbo' for w...

There seemed to be a fair few Saints supporters there, although obviously outnumbered by the Pies (no surprise). But what was dissapointing for me was the lack of noise we generated! We are on top of the ladder and are playing great footy, if there is any time to go nuts and cheer on your team its n...

The fact that we don't play until Sunday evening gives Kosi every chance to return. As for bringing Max back in - I heard Ross mention in one of his press conferences that given that Max is a champion player of the club that he will sit down with Max when he is fit and they'll discuss whether Max fe...

Going solely on the first 5 rounds of this season you can't argue with the Cats and Saints being the best two teams.

This week will definitely be the Saints biggest challenge though. Hopefully we can keep up the form against stronger opposition.

You would think that if our players play as ruthlessly as they did last week against Freo that there wouldn't be any changes to the team for the game against Port, so Armo might have to be patient until at least the Bulldogs game.

He's not moving as smoothly as he normally does, I'm sure the heavily strapped knee is affecting him a little. Good point OLB.
