Re: Markworth? Is he any good?

Markworth has massive potential. Pity he didn't get the chance to play 7-10 senior games this year.

So lets work this out. This fitness guy seems to want to go the pies and they seem to want him but Con reckons he is no good even though he has never seen this guy at all. The pies are the richest sporting club in Australia and could get anyone they want and they want out guy but Con knows more eve...

Re: One last push!

Newnes now is in a similar spot to where Siposs was 12 months ago. He seems likely, but nothing is guaranteed. Newnes strung together 12 games in a row in the seniors this year (and never looked out of place), which is something Siposs has never achieved. I'd say Newnes has surpassed Siposs in the ...

if we trade Fisher and Dal Santo for two more kids it will make a certainty of bottom four. We are certainty for bottom 4 next year regardless - didn't see Dal or Fisher help us this year and they are only going to get worse. But Im interested in 2016 and recruiting two (or 4) good kids now will ma...

Why would you give a 5-year deal (and 750K at that) to a guy who has been chronically injured for close to 18 months and still isn't going to be recovered for a few months?

Re: Who doesnt have a contract for 2014?

Another point on the rookies. The club has had two years to study them. They should know by now who is worthwhile continuing with and who is not. Those kept at this stage should be promoted. They dont need more than two years as rookies. But if you like a rookie as a player and think he's still dev...

Re: Attack

Geelong have plenty of small forwards and they do alright The difference is that Geelong's "small forwards" (Stokes, Motlop et al) all are able up the ground and play through the midfield (ditto Hawthorn's smalls and Sydney's). Guys like Saad, Milera, Milne, and TDL are all unable to do t...

Why does he need to sacrifice endurance to be more 'explosive'?

It's true that he dropped a couple that he should have taken today, but he would've taken a few more than he did if the delivery was a bit better to. Look at the service guys like Jesse White were getting at the other end.

The good thing about Minchington is that, unlike Saad and Milera, he looks like a small that could run through the midfield regularly.

Re: Siposs - what went wrong?

Siposs - what went wrong? He needs to become a more rounded player, that just being a forward that takes the occasional mark, or kicks a good finishing goal. This sums up his game perfectly. What he does, he does very well. His skills make everyone swoon over him because they are so far above many ...

bergholt I'm not sure how you distinguish between 'Developing' and 'Rookies'. In the 2014 "list" you have Rhys marked down under 'Developing' yet I'd say the likes of Webster, Ross, Saunders and Wright have all shown more development this year than Rhys.

Steven, Joey and Dall all battled hard but a lot of their possessions were just sweeping up around half-back.

These midfielders and Lenny were OK, but our ball use meant that we had spend 3/4 of the game defending in our back half.

Agree 100%.

Too often people confuse criticism of the club with not supporting the club. You can criticise the club and still support it wholeheartedly.

Stanley needs to find the attitude to compete. No matter where he has played this year he just doesn't have the attack on the footy or the man that's required. Until he learns how to compete then position is a bit irrelevant

It all depends on if they think Boyd is a once in a generation type forward. Pick 3 will get us a very good midfielder, which we are in desperate need of.

Anyone know how deep this draft is quality wise?
