ahh, given we clearly can't afford to have Baker, Blake, Max and Zac in the same backline, Max and Zac play the same position, Max came in for Gilbert and the coach mentioned our problem was movement of the ball from defence are we not all skirting around the obvious here?

Stanley is incredible. Covers the ground like Ryder but as raw as can be. Picture the polar opposite of McEvoy. They should make a great combo for 10 years. On McEvoy, I saw him pull up lame just before 3/4 time. Did he come back on in the last quarter? I am interested because I heard Lyon say King ...

Re: 2006..a pretty good damn list or???

But really how good was the list that [Ross Lyon] was given? Good enough for 14 wins with a dud coach. It can't have been that awful. Great answer. Explain that. Also we had as many injuries as last year and 3 times the amount of this year, And did you really think thay about Dal, Kosi, X and Gammy...

I thought I had quite succintly, dodgy What does Drain do? What does he bring to the table? What is he accountable for? Only one poster has attempted to answer these. I think we should sack 1 person at random from the club after every loss just to appease the angry people on this forum. That will get everyone on their toes. Further, we should sack RL and replace him with Genghis Khan. Now there was a hard task master. Seriously though, injury management has clear...

5-Ball 4-Hayes 3-Blake 2-Harvey 1-Gardiner Can you give negative votes to Milne and Dempster? Milne cost us 3-4 goals and was still jumping out the way in the last few minutes when we had a chance. Dempster was either getting murdered or murdering the ball all night. Schneider would also fit into th...

In round 7, 2006 against Geelong in front of a near full house at the Telstra Dome, Harvey broke the all-time games record for the St Kilda Football Club (set by Nathan Burke) with 324 games. To celebrate this, the Saints wore special guernseys with Harvey's sillouhetted image in the centre. Unfortu...

1989 v Carlton at Moorabbin. Plugger booted 10 and we won by 4 points from memory. Banger played that day too. Couldn't agree more. Plugger kicked 10 on Silvagni, was our second win from 2, we slipped behind with a few minutes to go and Jason Daniels cleared a 30 meter handball to Winmar who someho...

2006 excitement machines, bring back GT etc, etc

Just had a look at our 2006 results because I thought I was going crazy and had a bad perception of us back then with the comments from GT and others on this forum and in the press. We played 11 times against other finals teams for 3 wins and 8 losses. We beat the Doggies (who finished 7th and we al...

[raph has shown a fair bit of talent, its just injury and discipline he needs now.] Raph was the most talented 15 year old you will ever see but playing Under 18 championships for 4 years was not too good for him. He became lazy and developed some shocking habits. This coupled with injury issues ser...

can you guys talk me through Geary, I didn't see much of Springvale but he was considered something of a steal in the rookie draft. Also, I wouldn't be too concerned about Armitage. Inside mids who rely on tackling and contested footy always take longer to emerge than outside guys who can get by wit...
