Should Schneider be dropped this week?
Been a big fan of his since he came to the club and so far this year has been a very important player for us. But after his stupid antics last week which arguably cost us a clear free kick late in the game and a chance to tie the scores, I wouldn't be surprised if he's made to sit this one out and t...

I think it's funny that after all the media and supporter hype stating that we should start resting key players because it doesn't matter if we drop one or games, as we don't want run out of steam, is apparently now our downfall. Shouldn't have rested players, we have flirted with our form and now w...

Re: Bit bemused by the Zac sledging
Agreed, Zac's last two weeks have been very ordinary, last Sunday's was particularly woeful. But really, has he been alone? Im sure we can all name a few of our "shining lights" who have also been very average. This is fair enough. After nothing but amazing football before his suspension ...

How about the Mothers Day clash in 1994, St Kilda v Sydney. We were 8 goals down, five minutes into the last quarter, and won by a point. Alas, the game was notable for one other reason. Tony Lockett kept Peter Caven to no kicks in the match, by running through him with an elbow and forearm. Tony k...

Are there any classics you like bringing out of the vault?
A lighter topic to tear us away from the forecasted doom and gloom from the media and footy community alike. Are there any classic matches you love to watch when you one day just think "how 'bout that game?" Personally, I love my Saints DVD library and some of my life's most treasured memo...

Roger, you are perfectly entitled to feel a little worried about where the team and coaching panel are at and many supporters would feel that concern. In regards to Lyon giving them a bake, if the case was simply that the players have lost the drive for rounds 20 - 22 and strictly focused on finals,...

Maybe getting written off isn't a bad thing?
Collingwood should become flag favourites now, with all critics and footy followers a like saying that we have lost our mojo while the Pies are red hot. Probably not a bad thing. Frankly the Pies are in great form and based on our current form, it's hardly surprising everyone should rate them as the...

Let 'em Vent!
I always try to accentuate the positives from every loss and maintain belief in my team and today's loss will still be no exception. But, I think after todays match, fans are entitled to be a little frustrated with their team and are perfectly entitled to have a vent. No matter what positives we try...

Just shows we still have the St Kilda of old in our blood. One loss and confidence is shot, we don't back ourselves, Roo has one miss and he starts to fade and we play rabble with everything to prove and we just can't handle the pressure. If we play 19 rounds of great footy and let one loss derail u...

Re: Not enjoying the expectation
Ironic as a couple of years ago I would have just been happy to be in the mix...to be competative...just seems now that nothing less than a premiership or at least a grand final appearance will do to satisfy the expectation that this incredible season has created  Don't get me wrong...I am ov...

No, it's my fault. I've travelled to a lot of matches this year and of all games I had to choose, I had to bring my Sydney-based Bombers mate to his first footy match at Docklands last Sunday. When we kicked the first three goals, he was sulking, saying he wanted to leave, what a waste of a trip, wa...

if ball is a bit out of form he is better off playing a full game in the twos. If he plays well I am sure he is a big chance for Septembr action. Same with Max he just needs to keep playing well and hope he gets his chance. The problem with Max's last month is that he has played two awesome matches...

Talk about a kick in the guts for 2 of our most senior players. And ppl complained on here that Lyon was too scared to make the tough calls and was too conservative with his selections!! Personally I would have stuck with Ball. I'm still not sure how Zac will go against the genuine power fwds eithe...

Help, stupid people are talking to me!
Most of us Sainters are in 7th Heaven right now (yes, even after the loss!) What continues to both entertain and surprise me is what opposition supporters continue to say about our beloved Sainters. When the season started, I got a few comments that we were pretenders, we haven't played and Vic team...

While we are all sore about the loss, I refuse to hand it down as our worst loss in our entire club history. In a club with 26 wooden spoons to it's name (the most in the league), to be down by 43 points (against a team screaming to qualify for finals) late in the third quarter and to only lose by 2...

It's a difficult one to answer, as Roo's shoulders probably aren't feeling much lighter. I don't think it was a healthy loss, the circumstances were not ideal.... I agree to an extent, it wasn't a good performance by any stretch and so many of our star players just didn't play to close their level....

Hard call to make, just like our back line. Two quality ruck men to pick from but we can only pick two. At this stage I would say King...just. Merely because although I think Big Ben is a much better around-the-ground player, King is a far more solid tap ruck man and we need to give our mids the bes...

The public perception of how umpires treat Roo
It's been widely perceived for a long time now that the umpires favor and look after certain individuals. Judd being one, Ablett and Goodes being another, but lets not forget the tag-line that was branded about two years ago - "Nick the untouchable". Ie, all you have to do is touch Roo and...
