I didn’t notice any apparent Sydney bias in his commentary.
Thought he was actually getting excited by our comeback.

Re: Caldwell and Durham
Big Clubs don't lose good players to small clubs Even if we gave them 2 top ten draft picks this year ( assuming Battle goes and that we get massive compo for him) plus next year's 1st rounder...they still wouldn't do it So how did get we get Hamill from Carlton? It’s not about us being a small clu...

Re: On The Couch tonight is a must watch
Why do so many instantly play the victim card as soon as some criticism is pointed our way? We're 15th!!! The competition is as even as I can remember Last year was similar to this year in that after Rd 16 ... 15 sides had % above 92 We have played 15 games and have lost 6 games under 10pts and won...

Re: Bombers trying to poach Caldwell
What this thread proves to me is that you can recruit players despite seemingly being in a worse onfield position. Yes...As long as the recruiting manager isn't overruled...and as long as the talent scout manager isn't overruled by Silvagni or Lyon I still wish Finnis had had the nuts to overrule T...

Okay, fair point. But of the four you mentioned, three are from our last three draft years. Before that - Cripps, Billings, Dunstan, Acres, McCartin, Goddard, Gresham, Long and Coffield.

Re: Rebuild 2025/2026
We need to execute all reasonable endeavours we can to keep Battle. Letting him go and hoping for a good compo pick is just another Goddard or Dal Santo situation waiting to happen. He’s a fierce competitor and one of few on our list who actually gives me the impression that he has that fire in the ...

I admire your passion and I mean that with all sincerity. I wish I had it.
Obviously, I’m incredibly resentful about what our club has been allowed to become. But, no use rinsing and repeating.
Great post Jigster!

Re: King knee injury
While I haven’t been as a big a King basher this season as some, I certainly don’t think he’s now absolved for all criticism.
His form this season has been mediocre at best.
This injury may explain his poor output last match, but it doesn’t explain a seasons worth.

Thread closed due to stupidity Truth hurts Teflon. Are Port such a good team that it’s realistic that we haven’t beaten them at our dungheap since 2010 and in Adelaide since 2011 (unless the count the fake COVID season). He will definitely leave You have it on good authority? Of course he’ll leave. He’s been committed through two failed rebuilds and now we’re beginning another. He’s being courted by teams with a future, so why wouldn’t he leave. So Saints have no future? Not during his career they don’t.

Re: For the bloody life of me…
I thought we beat them in the COVID year under Ratten in Adelaide? Correct. The only win against them since 2012. It was at the Adelaide Oval and none of us in Victoria could attend because we were all lockdown at the time. Shortened quarters and we were playing in an interstate hub. Not a real sea...

Yeah yeah, stand by your ideology of supporting mediocrity without question.
Watch Hinkley in tears after that win. If anyone was going to save his career, it was us.
Relish in irrelevance if that makes you feel like a “true supporter.”

You reap what you sow
We’re ultimately to blame for how depressingly ordinary this club has become. The years of tolerating sheer mediocrity - Richo, Finnis and Lethlean, re-signing Ratten and then doubling-down by bringing in Ross Lyon. The fans tolerate it and laud it, because at least these administrators are apparent...

A first round compo pick? We have such a great track record with first round picks of the last decade. We can nab the next Tom Lee![🙄](//cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@latest/assets/svg/1f644.svg)

Re: Can't take a trick...
Interesting thing about Hinkley is that unless you count the COVID “stop-gap” season, he’s yet to suffer a loss against us.
If Barrett is correct and he’s a goner for 2025, this could be our last chance to beat him.

Isn’t one of the common reasons for asking for a trade is to get more opportunities? Another is to move interstate Commonly, yes. The wrong question is Would you like to relocate or merge? Because the unanimous answer would be no The correct question - for Fitzroy and South Would you rather merge/relocate or cease to exist? I’ll tell you two things South were never going to become the juggernaut that Sydney became And Fitzroy...

I would think that you should keep your shitty Sydney comments in the equally shitty Harbour city. The brions played off for the cup last year and if it wasn't for a cheating maggot and his laughable 50 metre penalty , we may well have won last night. Grow up. Are we incapable of debating this at a...
