Re: Motlop tackle on Howard
It is totally out of control. How do you tackle a 190cm, 90kg powerful athlete who is trying to break free or dispose of the ball and manage to put him down whilst resting his head on the grass like an infant on a pillow. I agree with the really dangerous dual action sling tackles being outlawed, b...

Re: Voss must be pulling his hair out
I just watched his presser. The only conclusion I could reach from that is Voss is a real arsehole. Glad you got a take away. I couldn't understand a word of it. Carlton players must be scratching their heads too. I believe they have the right coach and hope they keep him for at least the next 5 - ...

Looking at the ladder after tonight's game I expect divine intervention by the footy gods on Tuesday so have put a small wager on ess/coll draw.

5 - Owens (clearly our bog in 1st half, then goaled and ruck rover 2nd half)
4. Sinclair (zen like composure)
3- Wood (ever reliable skilled warrior)
2. Hill (2nd half tireless)
1. Byrnes (key part of running game plan)

If RTB and Banga think that David is OK then he is OK by me! Good to see highly regarded people being brought through.

Re: Dougal Howard
Well I thought it was a terrific mark at that time of the game in what appeared to be greasy conditions. I could try and be dour and more clinical because admittedly I can get over excited watching the Saints especially in a clincher like that. I, and I would suggest a couple others, were delighted ...

Cited as mentor to Tom Hawkins and Lloyd, the latter writing the fwd to his recent book. So at the very least Harry High Pants will get off King's neck if the report is true.

Re: Is Caminiti in trouble?
AFL wanted 5. We argued it down to 3. When and how often has St Kilda been able to achieve that in the past? This would a a very rare event in the Saints securing a lesser penalty. True. We are so damaged that we are relieved with three only because we wouldn't have been surprised if they had come ...

Re: Is Caminiti in trouble?
A combination of strong men and s*** rules are also contributing to this. Getting rewarded with a ball up to hold on to the ball invites more tackles and tacklers are told to lock it in too. If prior opportunity was just that and you can handball/kick in a split second (they can when they want to),...

Cross the white line...
Its a contact sport so if you buy into the game you buy into the risk. Otherwise do swimming or tennis.
Imagine a boxer or UFC fighter suing for concussion. Or a carpet layer or electrician for bad knees. Or a cop for getting shot.

Re: Is Caminiti in trouble?
I'm only ok with the penalty because given his previous experience after five games at AFL level a bit of a training break and rest might be in order. So he comes back refreshed and stronger next month. Also makes Membrey in/out decision easy. Marquee players often get nothing or one for much worse ...
