I believe the Swans went to Court and got a 'stay' (or something similar) so he was legally allowed to play.
Once we lose the appeal tomorrow night there is nothing to stop us also going to court and getting a 'stay' pending a 'legal hearing'.

How would the argument put by the Tribunal apply in the Kos fractured scull incident against Footscray? Simple, Kosi is a Saints player and is obviously at fault for anything that happened. The whole thing is a joke - they are making the rules up as they go along so they can fit the evidence to teh...

point out where i said baker was RUNNING in front of farmer..... then i'll apologise purple. Baker claimed he was running from Fremantle's half-back flank on the interchange side in front of Farmer, heading down the wing but slightly towards the Fremantle goal. Baker said he had initially been abou...

No PurpleJesus, Baker did not admit causing the collision. What Baker admitted was that he got in front of Farmer and STOPEED. Farmer then cannoned into him and apparently did thte damage when his head clashed with the back of Baker's head. THE TRIBUNAL ACCEPTED THIS EVIDENCE Therefore your whole pr...

And we have done sensationally with them by toeing the line?HarveysDeciple wrote:I get the feeling that if we win a court case the AFL will send us interstate 8 times next year, make us play at Skilled Stadium and give us every team in the top 6 twice, as well as 14 6 day breaks.
Can see that coming.

Grounds for Appeal?
If I understand the Tribunal decision correctly, Baker was found guilty of rough conduct because he put on a 'block' and as he was 50m away from the ball it was deemed 'out of play' and 'reckless'. Didn't the Tribunal in the Barry Hall case (belting Goose) deem that Hall was 'in play' becuase he 'an...

How about printing up some appropriate banners and holding them up every time the camera is on that portion of the crowd? I normally sit on lvl 2 just above where RB has his guests (usually including an AFL Commissioner) and I would be more than happy to hold a sign up at them as they pass me to get...

Panel said they believed Baker...but judged his action in stopping as reckless As I said earlier Baker gave himself up. Now will Whelan get a retrospective suspension for stepping in the way of Luke Ball. Apparently Luke Ball can get his head knocked off but thats OK, but Baker gets 7 weeks. But so...

Bakers or Freo Trainers? Tribunal replied Bakers! Based on Baker claiming he ran at Farmer, stopped and Farmer can...

Well if they did they didn't produce it as evidence tonight.Krikkett wrote:Who has said that there isn't video?
The AFL has stationary camera's with a wide view for umpire training...I'd suggest they picked up the incident.
And you would think if they had photographic evidence they would produce it.

On what evidence ? well that's the thing, its Fremantles word against ours and of course the AFL EVERY SINGLE TIME will favour the Fockers. The umpire victory, siren gate and now this farmer off the ball bullshtye. At least this time we got the 4 POINTS Freo might launch a case saying that since Ba...

From where i was sitting, the game was very close from where i normally sit on level 3. Look there could of been a clash of heads and bakes lifted his elbow up to protect him but it looked like bakes elbow hit Farmer in the face. The two players where slightly on an angle to where we where sitting....

Re: Baker Guilty
Do the crime, Do the time. I was on level 2 in the medallion stand, at the front watching these two players when Baker elbowed Farmer in the face. I saw it and several others around me saw it also. He is guilty of striking, i'm hoping nothing happens but lets face it. He will get 4 weeks minimum. R...
