Who remembers Paul Morwood?
Some 2 decades ago, the St.Kilda F.C. found itself in an untenable postion with the then VFL and the refusal of them to intervene in what was a ridiculous situation perpetrated by the Sydney Swans on St.Kilda. The VFL after not heeding warnings was forced to go to Court and defend its 'Player Rules'...

Goodbye Mr Splinterupthear$e. If I was you I would have that piece of timber removed because it is obviously diseased and impairing your thought processes. Do you reckon it became diseased before or after you sat on it? Why on earth any sane person would come on to an opposition fan forum, post his ...

It's not that simple Joffa - by admitting to blocking a player, is to not admit to causing unreasonable contact. Baker merely entered into Farmer's path - as a defender, to cut his run into a wide open F50 area. In taking this action - Farmer has not seen him ( or maybe he did!!) and cannoned into ...

Re: REQUEST FOR WHEN THE APPEAL STARTS
The Bakes appeal starts at 5.30 this afternoon. Around then there will be a new thread started to that effect. PLEASE, can all discussion on the appeal as it unfolds please be kept in that thread We had 30 different threads on the tribunal decision, made for very messy reading. Those of you who jus...

O.K. another scenario:- Gram has the ball on the wing and kicks it to the space he knows G is going to lead into. Glass, who is playing in front of G sees the danger and cuts across in front of G, who cannons into his side and they clash heads, resulting in G leaving the field with blood from his f...

Baker Incident. What am I Missing?
I am totally perplexed. I have been listening to 'radio experts' trying to explain how Baker is at fault in this case. They are all claiming that Baker by admitting to 'Blocking' Farmer is guilty of being 'reckless' and of using 'heavy impact' on Farmer. I have looked but cannot find where Baker adm...

You guys should put an effort in this weekend or you are going to be outnumbered. What a disappointment to see the poor turnout on Saturday at a game that was crucial to both teams. I was wondering if that made or cost the club money? Hey Splinterupthear$e Haven't you got anything better to do than...

Dear splinterupthear$e What is so difficult to understand? None of the crap you posted is relevant! Baker's testimony, which was accepted by the Tribunal, was that he did not lay a shepherd or bump or tackle or anything else. He 'blocked' which means he stopped dead in his tracks and Farmer cannoned...

I believe the Swans went to Court and got a 'stay' (or something similar) so he was legally allowed to play. Once we lose the appeal tomorrow night there is nothing to stop us also going to court and getting a 'stay' pending a 'legal hearing'. The pricks I think have said the appeal is that last av...

Very well put QueenC. You continue to be one of the few 'reasoned voices' from over at Demonland. I was one of those howling for Whelan's head in round 1, but I would argue even that case is slightly different to this one. Whelan intentionally shepherded Ball by hip and shoulder. Baker's testimony, ...
