Personally, I think our premiership window slammed shut this year. Time to start the rebuild. Perfect time now we will have a new coach with a new game plan etc. Roo and Lenny, to name two, may disagree with you. I hope they do, they should always aim for a flag. But as I said, I think the time has...

There plenty of talent out there. I'm not worried in the slightest about that. The crucial thing is to make the right selection. This is not something to rush into just to beat out the opposition. Find the best available and appoint him.

Geez, I love banger and all, but I don't think he's anywhere near ready for the senior gig...

We need to find the best available. That means going through a considered and careful process like we did last time.

He isn't going to get them to play saints footy. He is going to play a quick play on style that has brewing in his head, but was disguised at St Kilda by the fact he didn't have the list available to execute it skills wise. He may do this...but Lyon is defensive minded at heart, just can't see him ...

If Lyon imposes his "Saints footy" style on Freo, its gonna be painful to watch for a while...lets be honest, it was always an ugly brand and it took us a year or two to get it right....

If Lenny and Gwilt come back fit and firing, and if one or two more of the young players come on (Walsh or Siposs up forward, Cripps or Ledger in the middle) we are a reasonable show for a premiership next year. 2013 is also not totally out of the question IMO. Gee, I wish I was that optimistic! I ...

Gardiner McQualter Baker Eddy Blake Gamble Polo Trade Gilbert for an acceptable Draft Pick, maybe pick 20. I wouldn't mind seeing a couple go, reckon Gram and Raph should be traded if we can...not sure we'd get much for them tho.... Also, pretty sure I read somewhere that up to a dozen players migh...

Very surprised to hear we don't have a contract at Etihad..... Surely we should be shopping ourselves around to sign up at a venue, with an attractive deal. I would love to see St Kilda as a tenant club of the MCG. It would certainly make AFL membership a much more attractive option. Its interestin...

Saints to march in at MCG next year - article

Sorry if this has been posted already but I couldn't see it. Personally, Iwould love to see us change to an MCG tenant... "The Saints have reacted by requesting the AFL to schedule all home games next year at the MCG following another dismal year of match returns from their home venue at Etihad...

Personally, I don't think it has much to do with our form slump at all. IMO its far more to do with the mental/emotional scars from the GF losses, the general aging of the list and a general lack of form. Do people really think we would be playing better if we were still at Moorabbin? F***. i just ...

I tend to look at it as.... ...how many of our young kids can you confidently (obviously not categorically) say will be a 'top 6' player for us in the future? I'd say none of them. Which when rebuilding, is a massive concern. Very hard to answer that based on the limited chances the youngsters have...

Personally, I think Mike is right on the money. I love Rooey, but he can't kick. This year it is really apparent, but its been a problem for years. Rooey will never be the best player in the comp because he simply doesn't kick the important goals. Its sad for me to admit it because Rooey has been my...

Let me see....we have played in 5 games, the following first-gamers:
Archer
Smith
Johnson
Cripps

Add to that Steven and Stanley who have played around 10 games.

So I don't think you can argue RL isn't playing kids.

Why are you comparing us to the WB and Mel? The important question is can be beat teams like Collingwood, Geelong, Hawthorn etc that are a genuine flag chance. And the answer is we are miles off at the moment. lets be realistic about hawthorn aswell ... they lost ot the Crows first up .. fell over ...
