Re: Reward for cheating
In the circumstances, we should be permitted to draft an extra rookie. Isnt it just a waste of money. The player will have been retired or delisted by a club. Seems like we one just because Essendon got 10. I honestly think the club couldn't give a rats. He has to be delisted at the end of the year...

Re: Rookie upgrade via Carlisle ban
[ cant see why you and SP are whinging. Is it because Essendon are getting some rejects? It's because they have access to a greater range of players than we have, even though they are the cause of the problem. As I've already stated. I don't care whether we would exercise the option to pick up an u...

Re: Saints versus Sydney 1994
I will always have the opinion that Caven simply got in the way of the flight of the ball. He just drifts into Plugger's lead with no awareness at all. Plugger sees him at the last moment and protects himself. It looks bad I admit that but wasn't worth 8 weeks Full credit to Caven for being extreme...

Re: Rookie upgrade via Carlisle ban
It's great that Essendon get to pick from the whole nation of uncontracted senior players to fill their list... And we get to upgrade a player that we've already decided isn't good enough for our senior list. Are you really jealous? They get to choose from players who have proven they're not good e...

Re: Carlisle ban?
Only thing that matters is that he's ours now. And it's not like we didn't realise this may happen. If we hope to get anything out of our "investment" then we need to stand by him and support him. He seems like the sort of bloke who could really go off the rails if he's left to his own de...

Re: Rod and reality - Butters interview
Well we all know what GT thought of "training services". If his attitude influenced how this part of the club was run/funded/supported, maybe he bears some responsibility for the shocking injury run anyway. So we can still blame him. I think GT had a frustration with the fitness regimes a...

Re: Rod and reality - Butters interview
Well that must be their Plan Mark II then, as Plan Mark I was to hire Malcolm Blight as coach. Definitely. I can only imagine their horror when they realised that MB wasn't working out. The financial investment, supporter excitement, positive media coverage.... all about to flushed to make what mus...

Re: Rod and reality - Butters interview
But let's be honest here. GT never deserved to coach the Saints and only got the job in an underhand way via a sham process that he was content to lie about till after the dust up with RB when it all came out. The whole RB & GT plan to resurrect the Saints was that GT became coach. No career co...

Genuine question. How much time does Hodge actually spend in the midfield?
I know the whole field is the midfield nowadays, but centre bounce midfield.

Re: Brendon Goddard opens up on personality clashes
This whole story came about because BJ was asked about Chapman's comments about him not being able to handle pressure.
So, BJ deflected and talked about the easy target of the week - Jake Carlisle.
Tells you all you need to know about him.
