+1, moving to the midfield helped immensely, his VFL stats whilst playing in that position were pretty good.

Re: signing #7 Acres to 2018

I find it interesting so many on here rate Acres so highly. I really hope its true but was wondering what this is based on? I've seen him play in a few games for the Sandy and the Saints, and he looks ok, but I'm wondering how we're so sure he will be a gun? i was at the hawks game...he looked slow...

Re: Young Saints on cusp of signing new deals

Just loving this Future Fest!!!!!!!! I realised this morning the other reason why I now believe this protracted future fest concept is a great idea. In every off season since 2011 we have had day upon day of protracted bad news, bad press, anxiety and uncertainty about our future direction. The fut...

Re: Good List? Great List?

The bottom 6 theory comes into effect when the top end of two clubs are evenly matched. Geelong & St Kilda in 2009 had around a dozen stars very evenly matched… their bottom 6 was comfortably better than ours and it mattered in the end. What was wrong with the balance of this side? Backs Jason ...

Re: Ross Lyon after today

Freo's list will never be in as a bad a state as ours as they have Chris Bond, as head of recruiting and from what i heard they don't let ross take over the recruiting of kids. He has done well with guys like Tabener, Neale, Walters and Fyfe who have all come in and played regular footy in Ross' ti...

Re: Hindsight.... GTrain or Kerr?

Was just thinking the other day how enjoyable and fun it was to go and watch the saints in that era. More so than the saints of 09-10 I reckon. The team rising up the ladder for the first time since 97-98 prob made it more enjoyable as well. We used to smash sides by 60-100 points regularly . +1, s...

I'm still watching and love the show. Im a big fan of Johann Wagner and I think he will win it. He reminds me a lot of Isaac Smith from Hawthorn. Yeah I think he will win it aswell. Bit weird comparing him to Smith though 2 different footballer's lol How is it weird? Wagner is 190cm 90kg Smith is 1...

+1, past it & way to many turnovers by him coming out of defence. shadow of the 2010 version.

Re: Pierce Signs Extension..

I don't know enough to get excited about this guy… but I was thinking, since he is nearly 4 years younger than Hickey, he's virtually a generation behind him in terms of peaking. I always wonder about drafting ruckmen at 18, considering they don't usually show much until 23-25+… takes a lot of pati...

He is an elite kick on both feet which will certainly get Pelchins attention. He was on our radar in his draft year. We may look to rookie list him at the least

Temay seems a bit too small and we seem to have plenty like him.
179cm back pocket type, 2nd round pick, so similar mould to Geary/Baker imo.
